New Jersey City University (NJCU) Accelerated Nursing 2019
I spoke to Financial Aid last week and she gave me a better understanding of how much they will cover (For Jersey City cohort). She said the program is about 11k a semester and that financial aid normally covers about $5,000 for Fall and $5,000 for Spring....This leaves a hefty bill & now I'm trying to figure out how I will be able to pay for the rest.

Hi Maria! They do accept online programs but you have to call and make sure the online program you're considering is accepted. I took an online Microbiology w/ Lab course through EduKan. It was a great experience and it is accepted by NJCU. Its an online program that uses a consortium of Kansas City community colleges to be the school that you "attend" and pay but everything is taught through EduKan themselves. Payment plans are available. The transcript will be directly from the Community College you choose (I believe there are 5).

My semester is finally over & allll of my Pre-Reqs are DONE! Time to study for the HESI. I plan to take it in January right before the last semester of Masters program starts. What are your stats?? I'll post mine... Bachelor's - Psych Master's - Public Health Ed. First degree GPA: 3.73 Pre-Req GPA: 3.63 HESI - TBD Hoping I can score high on the HESI to give myself a better chance because my pre-req GPA isn't as competitive as others.

Same here. Hopefully I haven't capped out on loans. My overall GPA is 3.73 and my Pre-Req GPA is 3.5 without Micro...I'm currently getting my Masters in Health Sciences Public Health from NJCU (hoping to become a public health nurse). NJCU is my ONLY choice...I don't have the Orgo pre-req that other schools require and I don't want to take it! Good thing NJCU looks at your app holistically and not at just GPA so you have other ways to make your application strong.

Hi all! I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

I would also like to know this information. I am a little wary of applying because I have heard mixed reviews BUT I'm still doing research in the hopes of enrolling in 2018.
