Hi all!
I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

From what I know, decisions from Caldwell are by mail and you should get them by May 1st. I got mine through email, but I had spoken with the admissions counselor about it. I’ve been having mail delivery issues in my neighborhood so I asked if I could get it by email.

Congrats! Do you mind sharing your stats?

I heard from older RNs (around their 30s) that already work at hospitals in the NY and north NJ area that Chamberlain is known for a really low pass rate for the NCLEX/ they don't prepare their students well/ lots of cheaters/ the staff doesn't care as much/ higher-tier hospitals look down on their educators/ etc.. I wanted to keep my options open and apply anyway BUT the advisor I was assigned to really bugged me so much. She rarely responded to my e-mails/important questions about applying and taking the HESI. I found the staff there unprofessional when I came in to take the test. So aside from rumors, I just got pretty bad vibes from there when I visited. And I think I could do better in terms of ABSNs. So while I did get accepted, I defered my decision. They said they'd allow me to reapply for their start date in September.

I also got waitlisted at Pace! But did not know we had to wait until August...
Guys my nerves are on edge I just feel like this is messing with my emotions. The fact of not knowing is like realistically I wouldn’t be shocked with a rejection but a little piece of me feels like maybe they’ll see a potential in me. I know I’m unique but idk if they’re really gonna care.

I feel the same @maryhamm, I just want to hear something already.

For sure...it’s steep lol initially it’s $250. But then it says if you’re not planning on using the residencial halls, to give another $200
