New Jersey City University (NJCU) Accelerated Nursing 2019

Published

Hi all!

I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

Thanks!!

Yeah...the amount of material and how to study it, is probably one of my biggest concerns aside from the uncertainty of whether I’ll get in or not.

I have a friend that just finished a 12-month accelerated program, and although it was doable, she was having a mini mental breakdown every other week lol

I’m sure it gets overwhelming very quickly and I think you have a short time to figure out what works in terms of the best studying method.

Only a few days left to find out!! The nerves are REAL right now ?

Today is the day I wish us all the best. I have to try to not be glued to my email all day ?

Good luck everyone!!! I, however, will be glued to my email. I can’t help it. Lol I pray the emails go out today. ?

Good luck, everyone! Remember, if the acceptance e-mail doesn't go out today, DO NOT PANIC and DO NOT BADGER THEM. Give it a week. #DeepBreathing

Edit: As I mentioned quite a few posts ago, our cohort had almost 700 applications. I have no doubt that the number is around the same this time. They really look through each application thoroughly.

I’m trying to not get myself too hyped about getting an email today. Being that there was already an initial delay with decisions, I’m expecting to not get anything today. It’s just so nerve-wrecking.

I’m stressed out too I can’t stop thinking about it like this is a huge major life changing decision and this will impact a lot of the decisions or steps I need to take and how I’ll be planning everything out ???

I have a feeling we won’t be hearing back from them today. I know of someone in the program who didn’t hear back until the end of this week. I’m also not too sure if they received an email stating there would be a decision delay and when that date would be, but hopefully this helps.

I'm gonna give it till the 20th or so of April. I saw people from last year got their decisions then on the forum from last year.

I have a feeling it won’t be today either. The email said it was an estimated date, not guaranteed. Also, following the forum from last year it looked like they got decisions the third week so idk..

either way, I’m at work all day and it’s going to be so hard to not open the email if it comes cause i can’t process the emotions while I’m here. (Still checking every five minutes though)

Yeah, my friend received her acceptance on 4/20 of last year, which was a Friday. I'm hoping at least someone from this forum hears back by 04/19.

Dear Applicant,

Due to the high volume of applications for the Jersey City campus, there has been an unexpected delay with finalizing the admission decisions. An approximate date decisions will be finalized is unavailable at this time. Please refrain from emailing and/or contacting the office by phone to determine the status of your application. All applicants will receive an admission decision notification through NursingCAS email correspondence immediately following the final selection.

If there are any questions regarding your application, you will receive an email via NursingCAS correspondence.

Thank you again for your continued patience during this busy time.

Good Luck!
