hey new grad!
i'm still in study mode for nclex before looking for work.

after i get my rn tho!
Post-Surgical/Orthopedics
I chose to start on a broader area to gain experience for a few years and then figure out what I want to specialize in as a Nurse Practitioner. I actually started to enjoy the medical surgical floor because I started to learn more and I want to learn as much as possible.
telemetry/intermediate uniti was told to orient full time over the summer as a GN till i passed my boards and became an RN, but i was 7 days till the end of orientation when i took boards and failed : ( but my jobs still wating for me, just have to pass boards first.
I am in the same boat. It pretty much sucks. I graduated in April, took Kaplan in the begining of May and couldn't get an appt. to test until July 11. My school took their good old time submitting our paperwork. So I think the wait hurt me a little. I do not plan on making the same mistake again.
On a lighter note, I truley appreciate my rockstar boss for trying to make this transition a little easier. She switched me to nights to make a little extra money and give me more down time to study. I absa-freakin-lutley have to pass this time. I am going to retake Kaplan and start on Saunders.
