California thang or???
Yeah, it's so saturated here.... They needs nurses, but not every hospital is training new grads. They only want nurses with experience, but no one will give it to us!

That seems to be the theme in a lot of areas! I live about 45 mins from Nashville and it took me almost 8 months to get my first job! I applied at all the hospitals in an hour area from me, sent out about 400 applications. Only had 2 interviews :/ Both at the same local hospital and got hired there.

There are TONS of nursing jobs available in my area, southern VA. I had several offers when I graduated , I recently changed jobs after 2 years in the hospital, med surg/ICU. I had a bidding war between the 2 agencies I applied. I think it depends on where you live.

I graduated May 2013 in San Diego and started my first job in Feb 2014. I finally had to look out of state and relocate to Dallas TX.
I have my ADN with ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NIHSS. I lost count of how many jobs I applied to in CA.
That scares me. How do you like Dallas? Think would help to get jobs if I get my LPN or more first?

I graduated May 2014 but had already been hired for an LPN position February 2014. I worked as a CNA for the company until I passed boards then they allowed me to start working as an LPN. The Midwest hires nurses very fast because the turn over rate is extremely high.

Graduated Dec 2013 with my BSN. Passed my NCLEX in January & licensed in GA..didn't apply for jobs bc I found out not long after my husband was getting stationed in FL in a couple months. Moved to FL in March, got my FL licensed in April, applied to about...20+ jobs, just landed my first job a week ago & start July 7th!
