New grad wanting to join a nursing association

Published

Should I join the National LPN organization (NFLPN) or the State level LPN organization?

Any advice is appreciated.

honestly I didnt know such a thing existed for LPN's so I am going to look this up

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Check, often one membership includes both the state and national level for the same fee.

Specializes in retired LTC.

National is probably much more expensive than state. Also, state is usually more realistic with more pertinent LOCAL/REGIONAL issues that would be more meaningful for me. State can also offer local networking and educational opportunities.

If I could do one or the other, I'd go local/state.

NFLPN membership includes the state membership, if your state has a chapter. Not all states have chapters. NJ does not but NY does for example.

Specializes in Rehab, Geriatrics & School Nurse.

I joined both its the same price unless ur a student or 1 year nurse..I really like it Im in Atlanta
