California recovery program

I have been a LVN for 14 years. I was reported to the board for diverting medications in 2022. My attorney recommended I enroll in the program through Maximus in an attempt to keep the charges private and save my license. I am so scared to take this step. I'm just wondering if anyone has information on what I should expect going through the initial assessment and throughout the program?
