New grad pay rate in Orlando

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi

Any idea how much is the pay rate for new grads in Orlando area? especially Orlando Health?

I work at Orlando Health and a new nurse who was a new grad told me Orlando Health offered her $25/hour while Florida Hospital offered her $24/hour.

Did the nurse have ASN or BSN?

Specializes in New nurse, nursing assistant 5 years.

This is low ball and not competitive at all, I know a new grad making $36 an hour. Granted I don't know if they did years of service for previous medical experience.

I find this very hard to believe. New grad salaries are not negotiable. Everyone is hired at the same rate regardless of experience. $24-$28 an hour sounds about right.

In Jacksonville, FL new grad LPN pay for assisted living is $24 an hour.

You could be right but that is what he claims. And I see no reason for him to lie.

Specializes in Medsurg.

That's horrible. My first ever job as a LPN in Clearwater was around 25.
