New grad pay rate in Orlando

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi

Any idea how much is the pay rate for new grads in Orlando area? especially Orlando Health?

Specializes in MedSurg.

I'm planning to move to florida eventually. does your degree count into how much salary you can negotiate for? Here in maryland I get $34 and some change for 2 years experience. we all get same rates whether its a asn or BSN. does anyone also know what central florida regional hospital is like? not just salary wise but patient to nurse ratio wise as well. also has the salary changed much since 2019. thanks

M/S ratio 1:7 they will low-ball you on salary here since everyone in the entire continental US (esp the northeast) is eyeballing florida as somewhere they want to move. Whatever you're paid now in the northeast they will not match here. They can get away with it too because it comes down to basic supply and demand. Always someone from Ohio that sees greener pasture in fla willing to take over that nurse's position not happy with their 7 pt ratio
