New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Well don't you want to send it by yourself so that it own't take too long? Besides the rates are almost the same

Sent from my iPad using allnurses.com

Yes, I thought of that too but I was wondering if it is exactly the same certificate. I mean from envelope up to the content of the certificate. I tried requesting a good standing before for NZ and it took 2 weeks for that, plus another week for the mailing. But this one will only take 2 working days. That's why I was thinking if the contents are just the same.

hello jedfort: When did you received your LOE from ahpra? Did you enroll already in any school?Do you have IELTS? If you were able to get your LOE before september 2011, you are then exempted from taking the IELTS.. What is your contact number? Pm me for that so i can call you ASAP>where are you from?

Hello,

Is it alright to bring your dependent (wife/husband) under your student or

non award visa during the course of your schooling?

Or should they file a tourist visa instead in order to accompany you?

thank you~

What is INHA ??? Sorry..I'm new here guys

How many years we need to spend for the bridging program???

hi!

in my case, after getting the said document from prc i bought a mail envelope with prc seal and placed my certificate of good standing there. i also asked the same question and was advised to proceed directly to the booth of courier inside the prc compound. your document will be delivered in 2-3 days time plus you can even track your package on-line.

jul 6 by chelseaxyrene hi marklouiemarco. i understand. but according to the man i spoke with, i should come back for the certificate of good standing this july 9 and that i will be the one to mail it to ahpra not them

Thank you irin. I guess I'll just do the same. How many days did it take before you claimed your Certificate of good standing from PRC? by the way, did you apply in AHPRA VIC? Do you have your LOE?

After taking IELTS , what are the documents that will be send to APHRA ?

hi dreamer_rn!

where did you submit your papers? WA? VIC?

NSW :)

I can't remember exactly but a week or two maybe.Ask them if it can be expedite but you need to add additional fee for that. I send mine to WA. Still waiting for my LOE, just pass my last requirement last week of June. But those who were able to submit documents last May they already have their LOE last May.

Hoping to receive mine either last week of July or 1st week of August. :saint:

it depends on which state you sent your application, and the number of applicants too.. some waited for at least 5-10 months, some for a month or two only..

Good luck!

thanks danceinstructor :)

Hi,

You might want to visit the website of AHPRA for more details or if you're that patient enough, which you will also need to do once submitted your documents, reading previous discussions will be a great help as well, in fact I did the same thing when I was still at lost on what to do plus the AHPRA website of course.

When I started reading from page 1, I think last page back then was still at 600.. It's not yet too late to start reading now.

You'll be amazed on the important points, reminders, and tips that you're gonna get as you read.
