Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

That's my problem too. I've been trying to figure out how to apply online for days already but no success. I think they have a problem with it.

Hi! I think there`s no way you can enroll for IRON via ISIS. One of their representatives, though, advised me to scan all the papers required and e-mail it to their international application e-mail address.
My guess is that, once you get an offer they will require you to submit the original/ certified copies.
Another bad thing is that I`ve heard some "news" that La Trobe January 2013 intake is full, but I don`t really think it`s very reliable so I did what I needed to do-e-mail them. Hakhak. Nothing beats first-hand info. Good day.

this was their email to me last week:
"thank you for your enquiry. the january intake for iron at la trobe university has not yet filled.
if you are applying on-line, you need to choose ‘post graduate’ courses and click on term 1 (not semester 1), and ensure that the ‘non-award program’ box is ticked. the january 2013 iron program will then be visible."
i still have some problems with the online application so i guess i will be doing the same thing as what they suggested to you. by the way, where are you from shaneyney?
hello everyone! can anyone help me with my dilemma? :) i received by eligbility from ahpra on dec 2011 and i submitted my application to CON on april 2012, still don't have any news on the availability of slots due to the long waiting list. im planning to submit an application to ACFE, any feedbacks on acfe? anyone? :) the thing is, if i don't get into a school this year, ahpra does not consider extensions so i hav to apply again
Hi what are the requirements for registration in APHRA? I've checked the website and have the checklist but it seems vague to me. Is there a Filipino student like me who finished a one year nursing course in Australia who's already registered, or passed their requirements? Please give me a specific checklist so that I can start preparing my requirements early. I need to know which documents should I get from the Philippines as I'm aware of our super sloooooooow system. where did you have your medicals? at nationwide? was it fast? did you bring the forms 26 and 160 other than your scanned passport and hap id? :)

yay!!! were going to be classmates!! yup I did mine at nationwide, Everything was done with 5 hours.. so it was fast.. yup bring the forms for the x-ray and medicals. bring your passport also... and bring the letter from the embassy.. they would ask it from you.

Happened to me too. Submitted them an ielts result with 6.5 in writing. Ihna and the embassy wont mind. Im already doing the bridging course as we speak. :) But i think u will still need to re-sit the exam before u apply for the 457 visa.

Yes, I received my LOE last November 2011 and took my IRON program at ACFE (January-March 2012). Just received a job offer, yet my business visa is almost to expire that is why I posted an enquiry how to process the bridging visa. Although, I am holding the multi-entry visa, yet it is quite costly to get out from here and fly back again, i was thinking to get the bridging visa if i am eligible.
