Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

too bad that CON's intake for this year is already full. ETEA is still accepting applicants for August and October but the TF is 16,000 AUD. Where in the world will I get that amount? I can only afford 10,000 AUD. For Philman and other lending agencies, what are the requirements and how does it work? I think I would need to borrow 6,000 AUD from them just to push through for this year.
If you think that once your LOE has arrived it will be easy for you to find a school, that's not going to be the case unless you have enough funds for the program. It's really gonna be more stressful and frustrating at the same time. It happened to a lot of people already, it is happening to me now and for sure it will still happen for some. Prayers and perseverance. Patience.
Thank you everyone for the reply about the professional reference.
A professional reference most recent nursing employer, making specific reference to your role and competency in practice as a registered nurse.
And this is their comment on what is it all about.
Additional information, such as a professional reference from your most recent nursing employer commenting on your competence and any education and/or training undertaken within the past 12 months (or longer if you have a post graduate qualification), would assist the assessment and potential outcome of your application.

Do you have samples on how my employer will do this. It is their first time be doing this.
Thanks for again the help.
Hi guys, i already received my LOE just now. Ahpra-vic received my documents april 22 they asked for additional documents may 10, i was able to send it may 15, and just today, they send my eligibility letter. I just have a question, will it be possible to find a school who will still accomodate me this year? Thanks! :) patience is really a virtue!

Hi! I haven't enrolled in ETEA yet but I am planning to be on the October intake. How much did you pay for the tuition fee? Is it true that we can still avail of the old 14k rate?
If you don't mind, kindly pm me your fb or ym or any contact detail. I can not send pm yet.
