Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

do we really have to take all the vaccines for us to do the BP? like, MMR, DTap, Influenza, Meningococcal, Varicella, HepA?my Pedia gave me a quote of the total expense for the vaccination and it is roughly reaching to 10,000php.
yup its required in NSW its they're health requirement thingy for you to be able to do you clinicals on hospitals. yeah i know its quite expensive that's why im trying to look for some cheap alternative. hope we find one soon :)
Hi fellow nurses!
Do you have any updates regarding CON's intake for this year? Submitted my papers 2 weeks ago and until now there's no reply yet. Also, just in case, aside from CON which school can i go to? The one that's as cheap as CON or just almost the same. Please help me cos I don't want my papers to expire before I get enrolled.

Hello!! Maybe that's why CON is not responding because they do not offer BP as for the moment yet? Please try to check this also, i quoted
The official list is here:
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Approved Programs of Study
In the table use the column under the headin "Registered Nurse"
Then....
For accredited 12 month conversion programs double click on "General Registration" and look for the schools annotated "(RN conversion)".
For accrdited 12 week bridging programs double click "Internationally qualified"
Keep in mind this information is not strictly accurate even though it is from the official website. You have to contact the schools concerned to check that they are actually operating and offering the said program. For example, in the case of WA, 3 out of the 4 listed accredited schools offering bridging porgams, are in fact currently not offering bridging programs, and the one that is operating has been renamed from HCHN to IHNA.
Hi there DreamMeansWork! I'm just new here and I've read in previous posts that you don't have any work experience yet. You graduated last year right? I also graduated in that same year and unfortunately, I also don't have much experience yet. Just want to ask what are your plans? And can I add you on FB so I can message you there?
Thanks!!
Have you already applied to Ballarat? I saw in their website that the deadline was last June 15...Unfortunately I was not able to reach the deadline since I just received my LOE just this afternoon...
Hey Ishtin. They`ve already closed up? Sucks, I was planning for October. So if that`s true, then I might apply to La Trobe instead.
I think you need to have a serology test that will quantify your antibodies against hepB.. If it falls between the acceptable range, you can continue with the third or booster shot.. However, if it falls under, then the doctor might suggest you need to go back to 1..it think there's still time :) goodluck! :)
You`re right. So I might as well visit a Lab tomorrow. That`s very helpful; I appreciate it!
that happened to me last year. what my doctor did was they had my blood checked if hep b titer is still there luckily for me it was thats why i only needed the last dose. so i suggest, have your blood exam first. the difference of my 2nd and last dose was around 2 years.
That`s exactly the right thing to do now. Thanks so much! You just saved my life hahahhaha.
hi.. I could not send you a PM.. you could get the format and let the doctor where I work certify that you got the vaccines.. plus the other evidence (babybook, if you still have it). what's your facebook account name?
Yep. I still have it. Do you mean the format of the certification? If so, yessss I badly need to take a look at one! You can give me your FB. I`ll send you a message.
