Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi there DreamMeansWork! I'm just new here and I've read in previous posts that you don't have any work experience yet. You graduated last year right? I also graduated in that same year and unfortunately, I also don't have much experience yet. Just want to ask what are your plans? And can I add you on FB so I can message you there? Thanks!!
Hello :) yes i just graduated last year and passed the NLE last december :) i have ZERO experience to mention.. Hihi.. Im working on my ielts now, will sit the exam next month!! :)
Hi fellow nurses!
Do you have any updates regarding CON's intake for this year? Submitted my papers 2 weeks ago and until now there's no reply yet. Also, just in case, aside from CON which school can i go to? The one that's as cheap as CON or just almost the same. Please help me cos I don't want my papers to expire before I get enrolled.
Try Alpine Health. They have on-site accommodation offer also one of the cheapest so far compared to other places 110 or 140 AUD per week.
for those who answered the medical form 26, would you know what should we indicate in the question "In which office did you lodge your app?" should it be Australian embassy Makati OR VIA Makati? anyone knows how to answer this one?
@ilove83030 :) how is it going with your busy sched? i'll be starting the ecourse within the week=p
@ishtin, any good news from the BP providers? goodluck to us!
Wow! That's great then! But are you still applying for a job? Even as a volunteer? I've heard that Aus considers volunteer work as experience as well. I really want to message you, but I'm still new and all, so I can't send messages yet.
How about you, what's your plan? Yes they do accept volunteer experience as long as it is considered hospital experience as staff nurse.. And they require at least 3 months of experience :) yes im still applying to hospitals for my experience.. Hopefully i'll start sooooooon :)
