Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi fellow nurses! I have a very big problem and I hope some of you could help me out . I only had 2 doses of hep b vaccine. I know it`s stupid not having it continued when I had to, but what are the possible courses of action I can take? I`m planning to apply to Ballarat this October. Can I just continue with the third one or am I back to stage one? The last dose was a couple of years ago. Help!
that happened to me last year. what my doctor did was they had my blood checked if hep b titer is still there luckily for me it was thats why i only needed the last dose. so i suggest, have your blood exam first. the difference of my 2nd and last dose was around 2 years.
hello fellow nurses! just got great news last night! My case officer emailed me this:

Dear Ms ********,
Your letter of eligibility has been mailed today, when you arrive in Sydney you are to present at the office of AHPRA with your letter, passport and visa to enable a criminal record check to be processed. The registration will be finalised a few days later and an email sent to you to confirm.
Kind regards,

WOOHOO!! Thank you Lord! I'm just confused on his statement that i have to go to AHPRA with the letter, passport, and visa for a criminal record check, it means when i already enroll and get accepted for a bridging course right? help please :)
This letter states you will be registered once you show proof at an aphra office and therefore you do not need bridging course. Have you worked as an RN for at least 3 months in english speaking country. That usually gives exemption from bridging course.hello fellow nurses! just got great news last night! I think they meant that you are already eligible to register as a nurse and that you only need to present yourself at their office? I'm not sure :) because that's not the typical LOE for bridging program.. :) just wait for the letter :) congrats :)
