Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Thank you everyone for the reply about the professional reference.A professional reference most recent nursing employer, making specific reference to your role and competency in practice as a registered nurse.
And this is their comment on what is it all about.
Additional information, such as a professional reference from your most recent nursing employer commenting on your competence and any education and/or training undertaken within the past 12 months (or longer if you have a post graduate qualification), would assist the assessment and potential outcome of your application.
--------------------------------------
Do you have samples on how my employer will do this. It is their first time be doing this.
Thanks for again the help.
Your references can just be inserted to your cv, no need for a separate document

i was dropped because the ontake became full. they gave me a rime frame of 2 weeks to pay for the enrollment fee. just today they told me that they are prioritizing those who already paid. it wasnt even 2 weeks, just 6 days. i was even about to pay for the fee when i read their email. so sad

This letter states you will be registered once you show proof at an aphra office and therefore you do not need bridging course. Have you worked as an RN for at least 3 months in english speaking country. That usually gives exemption from bridging course.
hey ceridwyn! i have been working for 2 years and 5 months. didn't expect this. i emailed my case officer to clarify about what he meant, and he said, i do not need to take up the bridging course. that really is a big relief for me and my family. :)
thank you @ceridwyn and @prettyprettywaw :)
By the way, how long did you wait? :)
yes,it was not the typical email about the bridging program. asked my case officer what he meant by it and he said, i do not need to take up the bridging course anymore. yahoo! never thought about that option. anyway, i waited for exactly a year cried and stressed a lot while waiting, haha! passed mine in NSW. Goodluck to you @DreamMeansWork, we really do need to work hard to fulfill all our dreams.
Cheers!!! keep in touch!
