Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi vanessa! hmmm.. when was the last time you followed up with ahpra? i don't know if it's true that i heard some got theirs already? when did you apply again? is there any way of transferring it to other states? lighten up, dear :)

hi cummulus! no LOE from WA since Aug/Sept 2011 I heard. I emailed my case officer last Tuesday asking to transfer my docs in Victoria but she said since it's in the final assessment stage, there is no chance of transferring it to any state. When did you submit your application? :)

hmmm... is that so? but had your papers not be in the final assessment yet, you can transfer it to a diff state? well, isn't it angelslove had hers in WA as well but hers is a different case though. i sent mine in Vic and got my loe already. i really hope yours will come pretty soon :) cheers!

wow you're lucky! i wish i lodged my application in Vic too. I think it's possible to transfer if it's not for final assessment. Thanks.. i wish my LOE would soon really be out. :)

they received my docs January 3. Yes, my friend's cousin. She got her LOE 3 weeks after the transfer to Vic. Thanks.. how long did you have to wait for your LOE in Vic?

roughly a month :) what other docs are you missing and they provided you with timely update? when did your friend's cousin submit his app to WA and when did he transfer it to vic?
