Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

im confused..read the entry requirements of some bridging schools and they included VISA there. Should i apply for a visa first before applying to a school? that sounds weird tho... please do enlighten me on this topic...thanks!!
they are probably putting that in their requirement list to make sure that applicants know that it is the applicant's responsibility to obtain the visa. please note that you would need to provide the department of immigration and citizenship the supporting documents that you are indeed going to australia to undertake a bridging programme, hence a letter or admission or something equivalent will be needed from your chosen school.
Yep, got my visa already, thank God. My visa application took about 2 months, partly my fault because I didn't do my medical exam immediately. Hehe
hi.. around hw nuch for the cost of medl exam?thanks
I have heard from a friend that her friend was denied of a tourist visa and because of that her bridging programme would be delayed. Perhaps it is safer to apply for a short stay business class or a student visa.
thanks!
guys can i remind everyone that we ask that text talk etc isn't used. use this time as a way to make sure you are writing in clear english. we strive to be a professional board and it is part of our terms of service of the site
english only:
while allnurses.com, inc hosts visitors from around the world, it is based in the united states and much of our membership is english speaking. due to our inability to moderate threads in other languages, we ask that interactions be in english for the enjoyment of as many posters as possible.
please do not type entirely in capitals as it is considered shouting on the internet.
desiring to maintain professionalism, text speak (also known as chatspeak, txtspk, texting language or txt talk) is discouraged. along with using proper english spelling and punctuation, this shows respect for the owner, other bulletin board members, guests, and makes it easier to read your message.
