Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello guys! It's been awhile since I visited this forum and posted here. How's everyone doing with their application, BP, and work? Hope everyone reached their OZ dream.
Btw, I did my BP at La Trobe Uni last January together with some forumers here as well. I am currently working now under 457 visa. Thank God, everything went on smoothly.
Hi princessblush,
Lucky you! your in 457 visa now... was it hard to find an employer? whereabouts? did you find a job right after your BP? That was most of the forumers is worried about... My friend went back home after her BP and waited their for a year for her sponsorship. Please share Thanks
Hi Blicka!I think I was just blessed because after I got the early exit, then applied for registration, my registration came out really fast (say about a week). And then I applied to every single position posted in the internet. And it was not that long till I got a call as well.
wow :) i hope, i'd be like you..congrats btw :) may i ask how much is the tuition fee at La trobe uni? thanks :)
Hi @zara06
I was just answering marklouiemarco's question. Hehe. But I think no form of study would lead initially to permanent residency here in Australia. Have you already had your credentials assessed by AHPRA Nursing and Midwifery Board? You will find more information in their website (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Home) They will then provide you a Letter of Eligibility that you can present to the different bridging programme courses offered in this link.
@marklouiemarco : the above link I posted for zara06 might be useful for you, as it is indicated there the programmes of the different universities/schools in the different states. There's not much choices in New South Wales though. You might want to try those programmes in ACT, as it's only a few hours away from Sydney by bus.
I can't seem to find the websites for the schools in ACT. Is there anybody who knows how much is the tuition fee in ACT? Thanks.
Can anyone help me out please? I've been searching for BP providers in ACT (which is quite near NSW) including their websites and course fees. I know that the providers are ACT Health and Victorian College of Health & Nursing. Would you happen to know how much is the fee in each institution and their websites? Hoping you guys can help me cos I need to enroll asap. I got my letter from AHPRA already and CON really has a lot of applicants. Thank you!

Hi princessblush!
Were you on a 575 visa? TIA!
hi guys! when applying for a business class or student visa do we have to submit our ORIGINAL passport or only certified true copies of the pages? please help ill be going to sg in july and im worried that this could interfere with the visa processing. thanks in advance!
i think you won't be needing to submit your passport, i've heard they are into "paperless visa (?)". just verify with the others. :-)
