New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Anybody here who tried enrolling using the soft copy of loe without the signature of the ahpra manager? My hard copy isnt here yet

you can try sending that one and perhaps let CON know that you'll have the hard copy scanned once you receive it

I applied in AHPRA-WA. How about you? Anyway, I am going to Sydney next month via student visa. Do I need to inform them ASAP regarding this? I don't know if it could fast track my application though.

AHPRA-Vic. I really don't know, may be you need to inform them..

i kept calling ahpra but couldn't get thru. i still want to inquire about ihna's validity to provide BP despite the noted transition on july 1. this is why i still haven't paid.

when did you pass the interview and did you send them right away the confirmation of acceptance?

have you started with the e-course already? did you register online or thru hard copy and did they send you access to e-course how many days after payment?

so you used a Master/Visa Card and did not experience any probs? thanks thanks :)

yup, august melbourne. will you be there too? :)

May 4 - pass the interview. I emailed back the confirmation of acceptance after 2 days. Yes, started the e-course already. I didn't register online, they email me a copy of the e-learning application form and I just send it back to them. They will give you your student log-in add to access the e-course after 2 days of payment.

Paid by MasterCard, didn't experience any problem it was too quick.

Yup, I'll be there..see you aug. melb. :)

guys.. i inquired anmac regarding ihna's status and this is the reply i got.

"the program is currently going through the accreditation process and as yet there is no outcome. we would advise any student not to enrol in any program unless accreditation can be confirmed. "

hope this helps. by the way this message is sent may `17, 2012. you can recheck for a more detailed update.

hey baesa! thanks for this post. so, you contacted anmac instead, while haven't got any reply from ahpra yet.

oh no, so what to do now? i actually emailed ihna to inquire about this transition but they haven't replied yet.

so, are you still pushing thru with ihna? :(

Okay here's my plan:

We will be paying through money order so i have to scan my documents and send it to my cousin in sydney tomorrow. She's going to print the scanned documents (which are certified) and send it to CON via courier including the money order. Since what I have now is a soft copy of the LOE (has no signature) i'll send it also and once they acknowledge my application, i'll tell them that once i have the hard copy i'll scan it and have it sent to them. Do you think that's fine?

hey mark! i'm not sure about printing out scanned CTC'd docs, why not might as well send them the exact CTC'd docs? and with regard to the money order, don't you think it's a little risky sending such amount knowing that CON doesn't reply right away?

in the case of my friend, we filled our apps together w/o the money order. after almost 2 weeks, CON replied thru snail mail detailing out his incomplete requirements which include the payment and the visa. though, this snail mail isn't the offer letter yet. so, my friend emailed CON to ask how will he be paying CON if CC will do, and yet again, CON hasn't replied until now. i haven't received any snail mail from CON up to this moment.

maybe you can have the money order brought by your cousin so that anytime CON acknowledges, your cousin can just send your money order. just a thought.

any one here knows BP provider that does not require 1-2 years clinical experience?

I already had a eligbility letter from AHPRA and will be expired jan 2013.

Im in desperate need of a BP provider that does not require clinical experience.

I tried IHNA.. jujuju DECLINE application due to lack/nil experience.:scrying::scrying::scrying:

tried Deakin they just started this monday and next intake will be MAY 2013.. :scrying::scrying::scrying:

any body here who can help me and suggest a BP provider?????

ETEA cost 16 000 AUD way to much... cant afford that amount...

ACFE still waiting for my application..:banghead:
