Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I think I have my advantage on this. I was a volunteer then and I explained to my CO that I was not considered as their employee because I was only a volunteer. So no signatures attached except mine.
I'm actually a volunteer myself! I'm volunteering as a school nurse in a secondary school. Hahaha. So meaning to say you submitted your CV to AHPRA with just your signature? You think I should do that too since i'm in the same situation as you were before? But of course you still need to attach the statement of service right? I hope you don't mind if I ask your email ad. :) Or you can add me up. [email protected]. That goes for my facebook account too. THANK YOU!
Hi!Question please. Would my chance of being approved or granted a multiple entry for my visa application be affected if I am no longer employed?
Please share. Thanks.
Hi. Are you referring to the 456 visa? I think it depends on how you answer the question (oops, I forgot what number) in the form. I think that question pertains to returning to Australia. I was unemployed as well, when I applied for visa :)
p.s. your username reminds me of ben adams of a1. hehe
Hello nurses! I already received an email from my case officer that they will be sending my LOE shortly. I have waited for 10 months and finally it's coming. I lodged my application to NSW. Now, I'm about to enroll in College of Nursing in Burwood and I want to fast track my enrollment process because the intake for july was full already so I have to rush for the september intake. For those who enrolled in CON, can you please tell us the steps so that it's gonna be easier for us. Right niw, while waiting for the LOE, what I did was I already got my NBI and tomorrow I'll be going to RITM for my immunisation. Since the LOE isn't here yet, I'm trying to gather all the documents needed so that It's not that time-consuming.1. What are the documents that I have to send TOGETHER with my application form?2. Is the immunisation proof needed already upon enrollment or can I just send it after?3. After enrolling, is it automatic that CON will provide a support letter for my visa application or I should ask for it?4. How many days before You received the LOE from AHPRA?5. How many days before the CON emailed you regarding your enrollment?6. Please provide me the complete steps and all important info that i have to know specially when it comes to the enrollment and visa application. Thank you so much

hi glitzdelight! thanks for the reply.
Yes. I am applying for the 456 visa. You mean ques. 2 (Do you intend to enter Aus more than one occasion?). I answered yes to that.
What worries me is that I am now unemployed. And ques. 13 asks whether we are employed or self-employed. Should I just leave this section blank?
Please help me out with this.
Anyone who has the same experience or have known someone who had same situation with me? Please share. thanks
no. they just asked me to write an essay on why should they hire me and why I want to work there. A bit unconventional way for an interview, huh?but there are employers that conduct their interviews online/Skype.
Wow! That is really great. Congratulations. :) I hope I will be able to get into a BP school and be registered too. :) Thats a good example to boost everyone's spirit that they should fear the interview challenge.
