Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

congratulations! which intake did you apply for? they should send you instructions on how to go about the enrolment. anyway look for the OFFER ACCEPTANCE among the attachments. sign it then send it back to the school. the school will also send you 2 invoices: one for the introduction to rn bridging program which is the online course (AUD500) and the bridging course itself (AUD11,000). the enrolment fee of AUD1000 is already included in the 11K. i paid through credit card so i used their website. upon payment a receipt will be sent to your email which you will also forward to the school. enrolment to the online course is a requirement and you have to finish it before the bridging program starts. go to Nursing Management Courses, Nursing Training Courses, Nursing Courses Australia :: IHNA to enroll. they will generate an account so that you can access the e-course. also, check if the school has sent you the vaccine declaration form. unfortunately for me i realized the school forgot to send me one 2 weeks after i got the offer letter!
Thank you. yes I was sent those requirements. I paid just this week the fees. Unfortunately, only $500 AUD was accepted by the credit card. Just this day, I was able to pay the $ 1000 AUD enrolment fee. So, I'll be waiting for the receipt to be pass on the school. I was just confuse because they told me to update them about my visa application. Can I apply the visa processing without the confirmation of admission? What kind of visa did you apply? Regarding the immunization, do I need to pass it within two weeks? Thank you.
May I know who is for August or September intake of IHNA?? Pls pm or txt *********. Thanks :)
Hello, I am for August intake but I just got my offer acceptance last May 9, 2012. Unluckily, it took me time to process it since my middle name is misspelled, so I have to changed it first before I will pass my requirements to them. They sent me the corrected offer acceptance on May 11. I just paid today the enrolment and e-learning fees.
Any one here who can give any inputs on IHNAs interview??? How they conduct the interview? how many minutes did it last? Any topic question that they ask?TIA
Hello, I just had my interview last May 9. It was all about my work as a dialysis nurse. what are the nursing responsibilities. Then after that, i was asked about cva. The interview took about 9 mins. When is your interview? Good luck.
I think it is also not available in Cebu..I'd ask from a friend who willl be starting her BP this Monday and I'd let you know..You are planning to take Bp in Melbourne ayt? Just to confirm, meningococcal vaccine is not a requirement. Am i right?TIA
Hello, I am confused about the immunizations. Actually, I dont have any record of my immunizations because my mom did not know about the card when I was still a child. I asked in our health center to release me a letter confirming the immunizations that I took since childhood. Good thing, my aunt is a midwife so she was able to process it right away. I asked for it two years ago. Can I still use it for the ihna req for immunizations? Do I need to pass it within two weeks of my letter offer? Thanks.

Hello erikadioza, I had my interview this 16th may and I must tell you that the interview was pretty easy. Despite having not being practising nursing for the last two years, I also couldnt go through all the medical/surgical nursing subjects because the interview was immediately after 4days(i spent 3days partying). I didnt notice the length of the interview, but they first asked where was I posted during my nursing job and what cases were common. Then they asked me about BPH, signs and symptoms of BPH, Aspirin (what group did it belong to), what is renal failure, types of renal failure, Glomerular Filtration Rate, what is encephalitis and finally about Glassgow Coma Scale. According to my experience they dont ask you in depth about a particular condition but just overview about it(its entirely my personal experience and may differ according to others), So it will be beneficial if you have a general idea about common medical/surgical conditions. Dont forget to go through the diseases or cases you handled during your job as a nurse. All the best and try to relax before the interview..
@osverly just keep in touch. i still have yet to pass the interview. you steps ahead of us :) don't worry. hehe, im tensed cos I've been in L & D for more than 4 years. MS is a bit far from my setup I just hope I can make it soon. I will try to read. wah! i wasn't expecting an interview based on MS.
btw, what bank did you use to send over the enrollment fee and e-learning fees? how to send it over? i would like to use the bank cos i dont have a credit card.
