Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

okay so to make it clear what i have to do is go to the hospital and request for serology and afterwards if i lack something that's the time when i will have the shots for those, correct?
I sent my application to NSW and it took me 10 mos. I received an email today that I was approved for a BP.

if you're pretty confident that you had MMR and Varicella shots when you were a kid, you can have the serology tests. However, this is way too expensive. Now, if your results show that your titer is low or doesn't show an acceptable mark, then you'd have to undergo still the 2 MMR shots and Varicella. So if you opt for this, you will have to pay twice - one for the serology then if the outcome isn't ok, you'll pay for the shots. As compared to having the shots right away. 1 month apart per MMR shot.
CON's july intake is already full. What other schools are you applying in?
Good evening everyone.
I'm currently working on my CV and i'm having a difficult time with the "Clinical/Procedural Skills" part. I really don't know what checklist to use.
I'm presently volunteering as a school nurse. The institution i'm working in is a secondary school which consists of 2 years of preschool, 6 years of grade school and 2 high school years.
Should the checklist come from the institution i am in? Or should I just make one up and have my supervisors sign my CV for legitimacy? I'm afraid the institution i'm in doesn't have a standard checklist. I actually intend to use my RLE manual back in college as my reference, put a disclaimer that the procedures I have marked are performed starting from college till date, and have my college clinical instructors, current HR manager and current Head Nurse sign my CV. Would that be a good idea? Or should I only include procedures I have performed in a school setting?
Any input would be of great help. Thank you!

true true! but the titers cost too much. but if you have the means, go. just go to the hospital and request for IGG of MMR, Varicella, etc. each titer roughly cost 2k.
has CON given you any intake date already, marklouiemarco ?
