Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

so i'm guessing we can't skip AHPRA either way... oh well. patience is indeed a virtue. :)
agreed! that's why I'm reading all the post here in this thread (well, just starting with page 100)...
Now, after 24 hours, I'm just in page 214... but like you said, "patience is a virtue"...Godbless to all of us!
Oh..no wonder you're anxious to get LOE from AHPRA and finish the BP... It's okay...Everything fall into place and all of us will finally have our own LOEs soon... like on May 2012 (i pray)...

That's what I have in mind.. I only have tetorifice and hepa as adult shots, the rest are way back infancy! Lol! Yes Im enrolled now in unisa but they are not very particular as to which shots I should take.. It is just indicated that I need to bring proofs of my immunizations since it will be needed for the clinical placement.. I'm quite tensed and anxious now.. I still don't have my visa... Waaaaah!hey ychelle! some forumers said that childhood shots are not allowed though perhaps it depends upon the BP provider per se. if you have adult shots, you can go to a family med doctor and show your records to have them certified, and that will be a good proof. hope this helps!i thought you already got a slot in UniSa? in what intake do you belong?
I submitted my docs oct something, they received it oct 25 and I got my LOE November 25.. No I don't have UK or US experience.. Only 2 years OR exp here in Phil.. :)Hi Ychelle anne, I would like to ask when did you submit your docs to South Australia? Do you have any UK or US experience or just in the Phils? Thanks!

wow.. you're so lucky! I wish I could have done the same... you're also educated here in the Philippines (4 year BSN course)?
[color=#454545]i refer to your application for registration with the nursing and midwifery board of australia (nmba) received on ** december 2011.[color=#454545]we seem to be in receipt of all the documentary requirements to complete the assessment of your application form.
[color=#454545]should we find you eligible for a registration bridging program, you will be notified.
guys, i just received this email from my case officer. what does this mean? can someone enlighten me... does anyone with the same timeline received this kind of email?
this is a machine generated response. once they received your application documents and receipt, they will send you this email. i also receive the same message from them.
you will have to wait for your papers to be assessed and be approved.
just keep the faith! god bless
@ladydee-rni notice its kinda different right i read that some this was written as "
your application has now been escalated for final approval. please note, as every application is assessed on its own merits, a time frame cannot be guaranteed." however mine was different. "[color=#454545]should we find you eligible for a registration bridging program, you will be notified." .what does this mean?you guys were for final approval meaning i guess signature is the only one missing before your loe to be granted. i am calling the ahpra office like once a week since my application coz its really been a long while. i thought being here in perth i would be prioritized but that was not the case. i planned on visiting them many times but i dont think ill help with the confusion in wa right now... and im telling you.. they were flowing with documents. =)
it's all the same. you just have to wait for your loe.
god bless.
Dr cesar uy has all those vaccines. Try going there. Its in labangon. They have an fb account tooHello guys! To those who are for IHNA intake, I am in the process of completing my immunization requirements. However, I couldn't find any serology for DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetorifice) here in Cebu. Been asking all hospitals I could think of. Is anybody out there having the same problem? I'm planning to email IHNA about this and possibly ask for consideration. Thanks in advance!:)

Hello guys... I've just finished reading regarding the Hepa B immunization requirement by CON, just like to know if anybody here is in the same situation as I am, if so, what did you do?
I had completed my Hepa B immunization during my college years and the proof of it was a card, I didn't even need a booster dose. Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen a few years back, along with my immunization card. So right now, I don't have any proof that I have completed the Hepa B immunization and I have read that "History of completed age- appropriate course of hepatitis B vaccine. Not "accelerated" course. AND Anti-HBs greater than or equal to 10mIU/mL" is needed. I can do the serology but what will I do with vaccination? Should I have the complete 3 immunizations again or can I just have the booster along with the serology? By the way, I can't ask our school to release a certification that I have completed my Hepa B immunization, because an outside provider (now, non-existent) gave us the vaccines...
Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance...
