Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

A big question mark for me! Hahahahahaha!!!
It is quite laughable when people who are well informed of the 20 hours a week only are actually deported , which is easy for immi to find out quickly through the tax system. They have not adhered to visa requirements and not considered a person of good standing.
As nurses here are well respected one would hope that all that join the profession here are of good standing.
Can you send me some info too? I'm also quite concerned about immunizations.. I'm complete with childhood immunizations though esp hepa b.. I just don't know how to provide proofs.. Thank you!Hello there! i actually asked the nearest health center in our place but they insisted that the shots are for babies/kids only. may i know which health center have you gone? you mean to say you have had both mmr shots for free? please pm me =) thanks =)
Oh my god! Well then I have to take another ielts there.. Taking another exam is not a problem for me.. I'm just worried that my relatives now are quite exhausted with money.. I really have to look for a part time job then.. Just have to make sure I won't exceed 20 hrs a week right? :)You will not get a long term business visa or pr without english 7 in IELTS - current, even if they do register you. All visa's require the professional to have the standard that is required of that profession in Australia, before they will consider giving visa.

hey ychelle! some forumers said that childhood shots are not allowed though perhaps it depends upon the BP provider per se. if you have adult shots, you can go to a family med doctor and show your records to have them certified, and that will be a good proof. hope this helps!
i thought you already got a slot in UniSa? in what intake do you belong?
[color=#454545]i refer to your application for registration with the nursing and midwifery board of australia (nmba) received on ** december 2011.[color=#454545]
[color=#454545]we seem to be in receipt of all the documentary requirements to complete the assessment of your application form.
[color=#454545]should we find you eligible for a registration bridging program, you will be notified.
