Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello guys! To those who are for IHNA intake, I am in the process of completing my immunization requirements. However, I couldn't find any serology for DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetorifice) here in Cebu. Been asking all hospitals I could think of. Is anybody out there having the same problem? I'm planning to email IHNA about this and possibly ask for consideration. Thanks in advance!:)

Is DPT serology really needed? Why not get a an Adult DPT vaccine? I think it costs P1200 to P1400...
[color=#454545]i refer to your application for registration with the nursing and midwifery board of australia (nmba) received on ** december 2011.[color=#454545]we seem to be in receipt of all the documentary requirements to complete the assessment of your application form.
[color=#454545]should we find you eligible for a registration bridging program, you will be notified.
guys, i just received this email from my case officer. what does this mean? can someone enlighten me... does anyone with the same timeline received this kind of email?

@ladydee-rn
i notice its kinda different right i read that some this was written as "
your application has now been escalated for final approval. please note, as every application is assessed on its own merits, a time frame cannot be guaranteed." however mine was different. "[color=#454545]should we find you eligible for a registration bridging program, you will be notified." .what does this mean?you guys were for final approval meaning i guess signature is the only one missing before your loe to be granted. i am calling the ahpra office like once a week since my application coz its really been a long while. i thought being here in perth i would be prioritized but that was not the case. i planned on visiting them many times but i dont think ill help with the confusion in wa right now... and im telling you.. they were flowing with documents. =)
By the way a friend of mine under philman applied hers last sept.9 and she havent got her LOE yet. she was emailed last dec 28 that her papers is for final approval but until now, she havent received it. does this mean we also need to wait that long i mean more than 3 months now since that email and she havent got it yet.. #patiencerunningout #beenlong
Does CON April 2012 intake have any cut-off date or deadline for applications or are they full?As time passes by, the more I think I won't be able to make it. I'm thinking of taking the BP in CON on July..(sigh)...
Hi! I believe their cut-off to present a valid visa is 3 weeks prior to your intended intake date. This info is stated in the visa support letter. However, in my case, even if was able to supply them my visa 3 weeks prior to my intended start date (January intake) I still didn't make it. I was told that they have already selected the participants. Fortunately, I now have a confirmation letter for the April intake.
Are there any other CON April intake participants out there?
I already have a waiting job here. but giving them a job offer i thinnk wont help coz they want a commencement of the job in the next two months right? so that would be impossible. with our case...
I have read your previous post and I saw that you're already a permanent resident there is Australia
and you are also a registered midwife. May I just ask if you filed your application while already in Australia or you're just like us whose application came from the Philippines? Because if you filed when you're already in Australia, then maybe that's why the are still unsure if there's a need for you to do a bridging course (I'm just making a speculation). Also, maybe that's why your letter is different from ours...

I e-mailed them asking if there are still slots for April & july intake... But they still haven't replied yet... How long does it take them to reply to your e-mail? Or maybe I have the wrong e-mail address... Can you PM me the e-mail address that you use when inquiring them? thankss!
