Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@G3STALT ADDYHOTTIE originally submitted her documents in AHPRA-VIC (JULY 2011). She transferred it to AHPRA-WA (November 2011). She got her LOE Feb 15, 2012 after 6 weeks of waiting from the time she was emailed that it's for final approval.
@Mr E-NIGMA Oh no, I am really hoping that we will get our LOE asap. Are you planning to visit AHPRA? It's advantageous in your side since you are residing in Western Australia.
gosh..this is bad... So addyhotties' application was thoroughly assessed already prior to the final approval? hmmm... I thought that if you transfer your application to another state, they will have to reassess again?Let's just think positive.. Who knows maybe your friend's application got piled up during the holidays... Did she try to contact AHPRA? Maybe it lack follow-up?
@g3stalt
she was.. like every other week but still same answers has been given to her. thats why i dont go for a visit at the office here in perth coz it is less likely that you will be faced by your case officer usually its just the receptionist at the office thats giving you answers same way as calling the office..
By the way a friend of mine under philman applied hers last sept.9 and she havent got her LOE yet. she was emailed last dec 28 that her papers is for final approval but until now, she havent received it. does this mean we also need to wait that long i mean more than 3 months now since that email and she havent got it yet.. #patiencerunningout #beenlong
hi mr.e-nigma, is philman a consultancy or agency? is it located here in manila? thanks
@g3staltare there instances wherein ahpra denied someone for bp? coz in page one, it was written that its not important if you have exp or not.
* i remembered a friend who was not able to register because she failed her IELTS 3x. she filed without an IELTS, planning on taking it while the application is no progress. but she failed to get the qouta score.
***other than this does anybody here know people who are not approved by ahpra?
I honestly don't know... I think (own opinion), they don't really deny anyone, they give conditions on what else they can do... for example,maybe taking the other english competency test (what was it called again, OET??) or taking the enrolled course or another longer course than the BP?
Yes, I also read somewhere in the 1st 100+ pages of this thread that there are people approved even without experience... But as you have said earlier (they had an updated application form), it is written somewhere in the application form that at least 3 months experience is needed (I'm not sure, I forgot, sorry.. please research it more if you like)....

@ladydee-rn
hoping im not making your night bad. anyways. advantageous because im here and can make follow up calls like every week.. and seriously every week sometime 2x a week. and different people who answers the fone says different things. which adds to my confusion. disadvantage mainly is that im not sure if my current work will count as an experience. well they did say in the application for. (australia or overseas). if in a month or so still no news. ill rally in front of ahpra office. just kidding.
@g3stalton the very same day. 2nd week on december. you want exact? is that fine to post here? i remembered the email stating to provide that.come in with the generic email as so you say. i needed to go home for 1 week coz i cant be gone long from work. pass it after 3 weeks. before dec ends.
hmmmm.... I still think the reason that your letter was different from ours was probably because you passed your application directly to their office and not from the Philippines..Just a speculation... i don't know...
And I have just realized we did received this kind of letter...Maybe you just haven't received the final approval letter yet... Don't worry, I was also in your shoes... My application was received Nov 2011, yet I received the final approval letter Feb 28 2012, while some of the forumers here had their applications received Dec 2011, and yet they received the final approval letter earlier than I did (Feb. 15, i think)... I don't know why, but I can't really do anything about it but wait....

well, we seriously dont want to go back studying longer that needed dont we? OET is just a substitute to the IELTS. if you have an IELTS you wont need that. they said its a lot easier though. and medically inclined questions. yes, 3 months for the past 5 years. and its commulative not necessarily continous. i think changes happen when agos 04 was changed to agos 40. funny moment i filed to ahpra WA with agos 04 form back in dec. they made me complete agos 40 in their office. they give me a form. #awkwardmoment
