Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@aila61, that's one more thing that I don't like about Philman, there's no consistency with what they're saying. It was Philman who told me that it's a "package" that they're offering. I think I was able to talk to at least 4 of their staff. Some of them even called me on my mobile trying to convince me to avail of their services. I brought up the topic of the loan and tried to clarify whether I could get partial loans, etc. They all said that it is a "package". With regards to AG Finance, I was with my dad when I met up with them. My dad and I kept on asking them regarding the loan terms. They kept on beating around the bush, saying that they can only fully divulge the details once we agree with Philman's program. It seemed fishy to me since they won't agree to give us a full disclosure.
I hope that things would go smoothly during your meeting and that your questions would be answered. :)

oh, can you please tell me what loan term did you avail? and if you don't mind me asking when did you start processing your papers, are you already working as a nurse in australia? i think i really need to avail these kind offers, cuz my financial resources are quite limited now
thanks to you @ aila61[/url] and @eliyel so much for entertaining my questions..
are you both presently working as a nurse there in australia?
@steffi_pie, I'm still here in the PH, awaiting my AHPRA letter of approval. :) As for me, I started the process by myself. I didn't avail of any loan. I took my IELTS Nov2011 and lodged my application with AHPRA Jan2012. I just did a lot of research and asked around. I am in no position to advise anyone re: the application as we are almost all in the same boat. Just sharing the things I know. :)
Hi ychelle anne. I am a Filipino RN working for the RAH here in Adelaide. I also live in the CBD. What tips or advice are you after? Weather perhaps...here's a link,Atlas of South Australia | Climate and Weather
What school are you taking your BP?

thanks about the tips about the weather.. my grandmother sent me winter clothes and I dont know if I should bring them.. it seems that it's mostly hot there..
anyway, I think I'm still way too far from flying over there.. I dont know.. Im still waiting for my Confirmation of enrollment form UniSA (that's where I'll be taking my bp) before I lodge my Visa application.. I hope i"m not yet too late before the course commences on 3rd of april.. huhuhu...
but im so glad you replied!lol!
@ladydee-rn and vanessa - just want you guys to know that I already received the email stating that my documents are for final approval already! :) any news regarding your LOEs? at least i know how more days I should count before I receive my LOE. :)@vanessa did your sister already receive this email too?
hi @aila61! I was following the threads here and was looking for someone who's on the same situation with me. I believe that you applied in AHPRA-WA last december under philman? Am i right? Because I just lodged my application last January to WA, also under philman, and it's bogging since I just received an email from the case officer telling me that she has to reach my applications yet. she hasn't started the processing of my papers. But it took you only 2 months to get an email saying that your papers are for final approval now. Do you have a Bp school already? Can I ask for your email address if you dont mind? I hope I can get updates from you. Thank you in advance =D

@eliyel hi! I'll know by tomorrow if the partial loan has good terms. Was it philman who told you that they don't give partial loan terms or AG Finance? Actually sometimes their statements are really conflicting
that's why we already scheduled a meeting tom with AG regarding this matter
