Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

..... can you pm your email address thanksHey everyone. For those who went to CON or planned to go to CON:
I paid 10,000AUD yesterday. I have already e-mailed them the receipt at that day too. However, I haven't received any replies from them. My mom constantly bugs me that I may be in a scam situation. huhu.
I know that I'm not scammed. I know that there's a reason for the delayed response.
Any inputs about this?
hey friend im for CON too.. i already paid and there is 3-4 days before they release the receipt. unfortunately.. im short of 9 dollars so i have pay awhile ago.. its because of fluctuations of currency rate. hope this helps
yeah, it is already been implemented that you should wait for the case officer to tell you that you can undergo the medicals because of the ehealth system which can submit medicals to embassy way faster that the system before. however, if you are from davao (in which ehealth is not yet implemented,) i suggest that you do the medicals first before lodging your visa application.
thanks for the info.been in the nursing industry for five years and my hope is up to gain the all 7 in ielts a week from now...IHNA seem to have online application form and only require an IELTS of 6.5 if you have the much beloved eligibility letter, but require 2 years experience, worth a try though if you do not have the 2 years experience. Good instructions on how to apply.College of Nursing Australia, Health Education in Australia, Nursing Professional Development :: IHNA
Just done with my interview by ACFE today. But they told me that their next vacant slot for BP is June, i was hoping I can start next month if there is a slot and somebody will back out.
hi! i just want to ask how did your interview with acfe go? what kind of questions did they ask? thank you! :)
but were you an ICU nurse back here in the Philippines? i have been with ICU here for almost 2 years now and have been exposed to patients who had undergone post cabg, with all those contraptions, vasopressors, iabp and other machines attached. i really am hoping our experiences here will be credited there.but good luck to you :) you'll surely get there :)
If you have ICU experience, you definitely have an edge here over other applicants. Even in clinical placements the school, just like in our case, would want to identify people with ICU backgrounds and put them in that area for the clinical. Good luck.. :)
Hi ychelle anne. I am a Filipino RN working for the RAH here in Adelaide. I also live in the CBD. What tips or advice are you after? Weather perhaps...here's a link,
