Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
hello everybody! i have read the threads and all your comments have been a great help for my application for APHRA.I was hoping that someone will enlighten me with my concern about evidence that i have maintained continuous professional practice. Am I going to send certificates of training and seminars i underwent and notarize them?
Thank you in advance!!!
Yes . . you should provide evidence of every information you have written in your CV . .you need to provide certification of the seminars and training that you have attended.
hi i sent mine in wa on sept16 and good thing i filled up their inquiry form on their website because i usually call them. For the first time i am being emailed by my registration officer Ms.*.. I am somewhat relieved because everytime i call up their office they keep on mentioning different case officers.she said that she'll email me as soon as the assesment of my application commences. A little bit late than you are guys, but its better than no update at all. i know we'll be all receiving our LOEs soon :)I am hoping that you will get the same email van. . . Let's pray that you will get yours by next week or as soon as possible. . .
Hey there, Thanks for this information but I would like to clarify something regarding the Police Clearance/Criminal Background Check. I submitted an online enquiry asking if applicants need to send an NBI, Saudi Police or any other clearance from any other agency and this is exactly what an Information Officer from AHPRA Canberra, ACT replied:"AHPRA conducts their own Criminal History Checks, therefore you don't to provide one yourself."
Does anybody have any idea about this?
If I may ask, where did you get this information for Saudi-based nurses?
Waiting,
Peter Zarate
Check carefully with the AHPRA website. It was clearly stated in the Framework of Assessment, Criterion Number 5: "The applicant must attest that they have no criminal history, that would preclude them from practising as a nurse or midwife in Australia. Thus, the applicant must provide statutory declaration attesting to the fact that they have no criminal history, that would preclude them from practising as a nurse or midwife in Australia."
This is not just for Saudi-based nurses my dear. WE need to provide the police clearance from the last country we live in. AHPRA website and Australian immigration website go hand in hand.
I might be analyzing the criteria incorrectly, so we can always ask the opinion of our colleagues who have done it before - Philippine-based applicants.
Hi, please someone help me out.
Where do I exactly send my application to AHPRA? I mean the address.
I'm planning to take my BP in La Trobe. I haven't started with my application but I'm keeping all the faith.
Its a long long way but I'll get there.
Thanks in advance and God Bless you all with your applications. :)

In what part of the CV will we be writing the said seminars and trainings as shown in the standard format of AHPRA?
