How much do I need to shell out for the assessment fee? Is it 220 AUD or 450?Thanks!

Okay, you may call me the unluckiest nurse on earth... To cut the loooong story short, I successfully finished my application for Overseas' Nurse Program (ONP) for registration to United Kingdom's Nursing and Midwifery Council (Yup, I am certain I'm on the right thread)... I have received NMC's decision letter, and I am to take the 20-day adaptation program. I rang already about a quarter and a half of the long list of NMC's recommended universities/institutions where I could finally have my ONP, only to learn that the nursing climate have drastically changed over the past few months, so most of the schools have already stopped the program, or are still running the program, but is required to be in UK first with both Working and Student Visas in order to be accepted... To cut it shorter, I lost hope. And I am currently looking for alternatives. And I'm thinking of trying it out with Australia. But, considering my previous experience with UK's NMC (Oh my, thinking about all of the documents I have tediously collected, not to mention all of the time, effort, and money spent makes me wanna kill myself, haha), I can't help to be a bit skeptic and ponder that the exact same scenario might happen to me in Australia. Anyone wanna share their two cents on this? Please wish that I haven't yet killed myself so I could read your replies, aha... Thanks! :)

Thanks for your help, Silverdragon! I have just received my initial application pack from NMC. They never confirmed that they received my request, but they actually did, as apparent to them sending me the initial application pack. I have already sent the form back to the NMC and paid the fee using a credit card. What do I expect from the second pack? I might also be having a problem because I have learned that the hospital I had my post-registration experience with is registered in a SECONDARY HOSPITAL STATUS. Is experience from a TERTIARY HOSPITAL mandatory? Anyone here registered with the UK NMC with post-registration (PRC) experience from a SECONDARY HOSPITAL? Thanks!

Is this thread still being updated? I have read through it, but it is almost useless because the info in here are not up to date. I have been tirelessly clicking the links provided but they always lead to an error page i think because all Nursing Boards in Australia were centralized into AHPRA or something. I have been going through the APHRA website but it is rather confusing. Can someone please help me? Thanks!

I am from a non-EU country, and I believe the process is a bit more complex. I just got my IELTS TRF, and I passed the required bandscore. I am particularly confused when to pay and how much to pay... I understand there are two application packs. And where do we get the PRF (Personal Reference Number) or PIN from? PLEASE! HELP ME OUT!
