New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Thank you very much. You were one the forumers here who keeps on answering my queries and keeping my hopes high.. Thank you!

Are you ready for your BP next year? You are going to Con or LTU?

Do you know any school with BP that will commence on Feb or march?

try IHNA, AAON :)

goodluck and Congrats!

hello everybody..anyone here taking the Feb intake at HPH?

Are you?

I applied but they´ll only start assessing after the end of Nov.....so i still havent heard from them...

hi!

i, too, still need to have hep a, hpn1 influenza, and meningo vaccines and i'll already be flying to oz in 2 months!!! as with mmr, hep b, dpt and opv, you might want to try checking your local health center as they give those to babies for free. remember the epi of doh? they still have that. not so sure about the brands though but since they're free they're most likely generic vaccs... bcg is anti-tb, right? so maybe if you had this before you won't need to be vaccinated anymore. i don't think it has a booster dose like the others.

i dont think there´s a booster but u can get a mantoux/ppd test to see if you´ve been covered on that one when u were a baby...

i'm still on the lookout for those vaccines that i lack. i've called my daughter's pedia about these and the secretary told me that hep a vaccs are hard to come by and does not know of the hpn1 flu and meningococcal c's existence. ugh!

usually h1n1 is given together with the sazonal flu shot....

by the way, do you happen to know how many times the hep a vacc is administered as an adult dose? 2 doses and íf u r taking together with hep b, they can be given in the same doses.

thanks!

hope i´ve helped!!!

Hi! I was granted a 456 visa multiple entry valid for 1 year. I wonder if I will be allowed to purchase a one way ticket for this type of visa or I'll have pay for a round trip airfare. Please advise. Thank you.

me too, they told me to wait til late november/early december. but i have already enrolled in CON for their first intake in 2012. i was badly hoping to be accepted in HPH but then again if I don't get accepted there it will be too late for me to find another school that will commence jan/feb 2012.

all the best!

Hi there! I am also rooting for COn's January intake. But the lady told me that we all have to wait after Dec.16 after the selection process. I really do hope we can be accommodated for the earliest possible intake next year. Sigh..

Anyone for La Trobe May 2012 intake?

So I checked into the Student Portal of La Trobe, and now it says that my application has been APPROVED. What does that mean? Do I still have to wait until they issue an Offer

Letter to me before I apply for Visa?

I am so excited!

Hi! You sure already for the May class in La Trobe next year?

I have a friend and I think she's the first in this forum to seal the deal with LTU on May.

For the mean time, you will be waiting for the offer letter

But you cannot yet apply for the stud visa.

Its an online process that needs at least 123 days before your commencement day to be sort of valid when

you enter your eCOE to the immigration site...

Hi, I checked today and voila! My offer letter was there waiting for me. Hehehe... So you mean I can't apply for student visa now?

Yes.. If its more than 123 days before your day 1 at LTU. But that was sometime last August.

There might be some changes...
