Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi. WHy dont you try to have you BP here in SA instead? If u got 2 years work experience as an RN, applying in university of south aus for their arntp program isnt that bad... Actually, they are not that strict when it comes to requirements. No interviews, you just have to submit the necessary documents and thats it. Besides, living here in adelaide is much more cheaper than in any other state....
Im also considering UNISA. But i am not sure if they are offering BP in their institution.. Did you take your BP in UNISA? if so, how much is their BP costs?

There are only two institutions offering BP here in SA which is approved by ahpra. One is unisa and the other is flinders university. unisa call their program as AUSTRALIAN REGISTERED NURSE TRAINING PROG which is 18 weeks in duration. Tuition fee cost me 13800. Im starting my BP on this coming october.

I just wanted to ask... Why did u take an 18week course which cost 13,800 instead of a 10-12week course( the usual duration in most of BP schools) and at a cheaper price??

I think it will depend on your circumstances. Leeross might have relatives or friends who live in Adelaide. I know someone who works in the public hospital who brought her son over to do the BP here in Adelaide. The tuition might cost more and the course might take longer than other BP providers but also consider the cost of living (accommodation, food, transport, etc). While doing his BP, he worked as a carer in a nursing home for 1-2 shifts a week. He eventually found an employer who sponsored him for work in Canberra.

Yup, i submitted my ielts test report in unisa but not in immigration anymore because the visa which i applied for is non award sector which is assessment level 1. I applied onshore for that visa

Hi. Bobby123 is right. In my case, my husband is here in adelaide so there its impractical for me take up my bp in other states. Every school in every state differs in bp duration and tuition fee. Im just thankful that in unisa, i didnt have to go through some nerve racking process.
