Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I think you'll find that wherever you send your applications to, they will still be seen by the same assessment team so there is constant level of assessment and your applications to this organisation will be seen in order of receiving the applications.
The National board was set up to be just that national one set body of rules and regulations for all health professionals, not seperate entities based in each state.
isobelle of manila? ryt?1) you have a very good question, and other forumers who had undergone BP should answer your question based on their experience..
2) in the meantime, i think you already have an experience in paying via credit card considering your experience in dealing and paying the nursing board.. at this point of our discussion, i do not know to what extent the "bank details" are being given to you... but if you dont want any hassle and get a face-to-face answer, you just have to visit a bank (BDO, UCPB, METRO, etc.), choose the smaller branch because it is not busy as compared to a big branch or better yet go to your or your parents bank.. show the "bank details" and tell the staff that you want to pay the school, and ask help how to pay the school considering the "bank details" given to you.. the staff will answer your question and explain it to you, either they will require more "details" or the "details" are enough to implement the transaction.. chances are it is a "bank to bank" or "transfer of fund" transaction.. keep your receipts and documents, inform the school, perhaps scan the receipt/docus as you email informing them..
i may be able to explain it to you here if i have all the details (considering my banking background) but believe me it is best for you to visit your bank and do as ive told you above..
3) oooooops i missed something.... i think the school want payments in AUS Dollar, that will complicate things a bit.. so i hope others forumers could share.. but that can be solved by going to an Australian bank like ANZ which has a branch in Manila... just the same visit your bank first they will advice you then..
its hard for me to give advice with limited data... sorry..
yes, I am from manila. :) May I know where in Manila is the ANZ Bank? Because VCHN has the same bank, maybe that could solve my little problem! :) Thanks for your help!

Thanks ceridwyn.... I tried calling AHPRA today but to my dismay, I was put on hold for more than 20 mins until my prepaid card ran out.....I was also transferred to one operator to another without having to solve or answer my inquiries.... So disappointing...
this is major problem! i just called AHPRA Victoria and asked them if they already received my application. i told her that according to the tracking #s of FedEx and DHL, my files are already in Vic (signed for by PeterN and Avi) more than a week ago. then the lady asked for my surname, then i told her mine but then she said my name does not appear in her list and that i should try calling again after a week.
panic attack!
did AHPRA Vic threw away my application?
panic panic panic!
to all those who sent through courier (what courier did you use?), when you checked the tracking #, does it say there that it was signed for by PeterN or Avi? (is the "signed for by ____" referring to like the desk/customer service of AHPRA Vic?, moreover, is "signed for by ____" a significant data at all?)
fortunately, i did not suffer from hypovolemic shock from all the epistaxis i got during our english language conversation, which lasted only like maximum 3minutes (but i'm charged 50 pesos). ahihi! i said that i will barrage them with calls, but suddenly i'm scared! not only because it refers to my application, but also bec i have to speak in english! horrifying! getting 7 and up in the speaking part of the IELTS is not enough to dissolve my fear of spoken english! ahihi!
btw, for globe (cellphone) users, what prepaid card do you use? i bought the tipIDD but it's only 100pesos. i think i need to buy the 500 because it takes so long to be connected to the Victoria branch.

Just out of interest, what do you think we speak to our patients over here? IF you are registered over here, are you going to have a nose bleed everytime you need to speak to anyone? Do you think you are suitable as a nurse in an english speaking country?Your documents must be there if they have been signed for, thats why you sent them by courier, is it not? Obviously she had a quick look or she did not have time to listen to your spelling and just whent phonetically or maybe she was just an old female nurse that could not be bothered.

I do not think it is funny at all that you are considering to be a nurse in an english speaking country and you have no thought for the patients at all, you obviously think of nursing in Australia, as the golden ticket, maybe I was the person that was on the other side of the phone, thanks for the kind words.

Hi. Its just sad to know that I am the "odd one" here.. LOL. Actually I only sent Ahpra an enquiry which is found in their website which unfortunately still unanswered up to now... Thanks for the advice, I'll give them a ring first thing tomorrow.
-With regards to your questions, I only paid the assessment fee with the QNC last March amounting to 180 dollars.
-Unfortunately, I admit that it was a big mistake that I didnt care to check that AHPRA was due to commence last JULY. Honestly, I was just too excited then to send my documents to QNC since they were the most lenient with regards to experience and other reqs, that I didnt even bother to scrutinize the website...its really too careless of me...When I found out about the upcoming commencement of AHPRA, it was already too late since I already sent my documents. Im also a lil bit regretful that I was not too keen to check that there were such advice to FILIPINO nurses who want to try their luck in QNC... eeessssshhh!!!!!
- and yeah, you're right, I think its about time for me to pest AHPRA QLD this time..lol..
