New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

i'm on my second WEEK of waiting. AHPRA Victoria and PRC Manila must be twins ahihi! is it wise to resend another copy to another AHPRA branch except for the one in Victoria? okay that's it i will really call them tomorrow! ahihi! :jester:

hehehe.. hold your horses glio... at this point of time, you just to contend yourself of waiting or doing other things that will further boost your present credentials while waiting.. nothin much we can do at this point of time.. pray perhaps.. good luck still..

amen! my prayer goes with yours.

nerve-wracking. . . I hope Ill hear any news from them before I lose my sanity.

you got it right, nerve-wracking indeed, the last thing you want is the fear of the unknown, you dont know what or whats not.. it really gives you anxieties, but no choice just have to pray and wait.. good luck..

thanks, cioman. . . I hope things will turn out good for you as well! give us news if you already landed a job.:D

@cioman94 & @mikyong

thanks..im hoping and praying for a positive result:o..feeling nervous :redbeathe God be with us..goodluck also for those waiting like me..

jhae, i did something wrong over the weekend... im repaying it back by assisting you directly now... my "conscience" at work...

first question.... answer is no.... that question may be applicable to others who took the BP but failed or whatever.. the process and steps remained the same as what i have written in page one..

2nd question.... as what i have agen written in page one, i discussed about BP... and even the steps prior the BP classes itself... 3 mos. is the BP... in that page one, i also wrote the abbreviated names of the school offering BP, like ETEA, VCHN, LA TROBE, DEAKIN.. just google it...

i wrote PAGE O1 intentionally to help new members here, so basically the major steps are described there..

good luck..

silly me, I guess i should go back to page one... wish me all the best and thank you very much...:redbeathe:yeah::):):):):redbeathe:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

just a thought about the theory... now that all NB's are united under AHPRA, there won't be any difference on the duration of waiting for any update on applications... so the long lines in victoria or the short lines in northern territories doesn't matter anymore because there is only one line now... so i guess glio can stop regretting (that is, if he is regretting):):):)...

hi! i really hope the theory is a false one. i see your point about being united and all, but what about the manpower?

i wonder what happened to the "new grad filipino nurse who wants to work in Au/NZ"...? is she already an AuRN with a very big amount of salary? :nurse:

guys need to ask something. Is it possible to ask for the Certificate of good standing at PRC and then just ask them to send it later. Because I'm going to Cebu this Friday and I'm thinking of getting it already eventhough I'm still starting to collect all the documents for the application. But I will just ask them to send it next time when I'm all ready. The thing is PRC is far from where I am now, I still need to travel for hours and cross the sea to get there. Hehe.

Please share your insights regarding this matter. TY!

in ahpra's website, it is said that those who were educated and licensed in the us, uk, nz. etc will now have an equivalent status to an australian graduate. take note though that Rns who only have a license but are not educated in those countries are not considered as equivalent. did i understand it correctly?
