Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Is the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) Conversion Program for Registered Nurses the same as the Bridge Program? I've contacted a University in Western Aus (Because that's where I'm Planning to go) they sent me a detailed info on the curriculum. the curriculum is 1 year in duration and costs AU$25,000+ the whole year... It's too expensive... Please, can anyone give me another university or institution offering the Bridge Program with less expense and shorter time expanse... please please please...

hi everyone! i just want to know what's the next step after AHPRA received the documents? i already confirmed through telephone and website of DHL and FedEx. also, when i typed in the tracking #s of my files, it says their already in Victoria. is this already the 1-3months waiting period? i e-mailed them through the enquiry form of their website. surprisingly, the reply i got was the one from NSW office and not from Victoria. can you pm me e-mail address(es) for the Victoria branch?
also, i'm still hesitant to ask my mom to finance the BP. i think i'm applying for a Russian Roulette!
(app fee PhP20k) + (BP tuition fee PhP400k) + (3months stay PhP240k) =
PhP660k but i'm OCD so i'll round it to PhP1M
are all of this really worth it? my mom is a fire-breathing dragon! she will burn me to a crisp if i'm still unemployed after BP. why am i talking about BP already? i don't have the eligibility yet. AHPRA might even downgrade me to EN, or let me take the 1-3 year course. boo!
btw, i started a thread about jobless/unemployed Au RNs in the AU section of this website. i hope all of you would take the time to visit the thread. i would really appreciate feed backs from Au RNs.
oi drednag.. still alive... do you have frends in POEA??....
glio.... yes the waiting game begins,, would u like to OCD your estimate from 3 into 6 mos. waiting....
one way plane ticket P40,000
weekly expenses i think is $300-$400 (@ P170t - P200t)
it's worth it....
errrr jobless Au RN thread.... hmmm... i hope i will not be member of that thread, dont wanna be jobless.... bad omen... nega energy... peace...
upon reading the list of requirements by glio, it made ask... do i need to include in my requirements my medical certificate already? i mean req for submission to APHRA. i thought that would be for VISA purposes already.. kindly clarify :) coz I thought i had everything already except for my Cert of good standing which will be available monday yet. and as for the IELTS, you mean i don't need to send along a copy of my result? how do i request for that to be sent to APRHA from IDP? thanks again!

the list of requirements i posted is what i passed, not the official...and i have OCD ahihi
AGOS-04 question 20 asks about impairment details. although you will only present a supporting document if you answered yes, for the sake of OCD, i included a medical cert with a physician's medical diagnosis stating "essentially well"
to those who will get the cert of good standing in the future, if you live far away from PRC, i suggest you purchase the "express (PhP200)" and not the "regular (PhP75)" cert of good standing so you'd get it after an hour. the regular cert of good standing takes 3-4 days before it is released...
know the address of the AHPRA branch, prepare PhP1500, then go to the nearest IDP branch. but again i'm OC so i still sent a photocopy of my IELTS TFR. ahihi!
