Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
sorry, can't pm yet. I signed with medlinkages/accord personnel, but their partner agency in the philippines is scs inc. if you see nurses for australia in workabroad, it's probably them. check them out, see if you like their pitch. i'm backing out though, nursing in australia is an investment, at the moment, my current situation just plunged that i need to work again. maybe in the future, when my situations not so rocky. :)all 8 in ielts starting on july 2011? i read about it for DIAC not for AHPRA. ALL 8 for full 20 points in the english proficiency, if 7; 10 points.
i don't know about BON in saipan. Sorry. I took my NCLEX in saipan, they were a territory of the US but not part of the "states" way back 2007. Maybe things changed?
They were talking about merging with the federal states when i was there.
wish you the best, pray it helps..
i've been reading a lot bout this forum. thank you for bein so informative. however, i still have some concerns. I was able to open a copy of glioblastoma's CV. does the CV need to be so extensive? as in you have to put every hospital procedure you've done? because prior to reading glio's CV, what i have in mind is to put in the CV those skill that i acquired through seminars and trainings such as BLS, IVT ang Phlebotomy. can someone clear this one? thank you. :)
Hello guys,
Id like to say i'm a newbie here in this forum but i have been reading your comments and suggestions as well to be well-informed.. I have but one question to ask here which actually makes me hesitant to start my application for the BP. Although I have read about the needed work experience, DOES APHRA REQUIRE A RECENT WORK EXPERIENCE TO BE ABLE TO QUALIFY? I badly need to have this confirmed because I have been out of clinical practice for more than a year.I have been an ICU nurse for 1.6 years and its a long story why I had to resign from work as advised.
Please guys, if any of you could confirm so I'l stop from wondering, would be so helpful on my part as I am very much eager to start my application.
Thanks in advance to those who will respond. God Bless!

AHPRA only requires 3 months full time practice in the last five years. So, your work experience is more than good enough for you to qualify.
Hi,if I want to work in New Zealand-where do I start?I have printed out all the required papers on registration with their nursing board. Is it wise to go for IELTS now(as I am from an asian country).
1) check their requirements and qualifications.. do you qualify? can you comply with the requirements?
2) what's your concern with taking IELTS now? the main issue is, you must have a current/unexpired IELTS for your application, flat 7 that is..
cheers! good luck..
Hi! I am lodging my application with APHRA soon. However, I need help with deciding which office to lodge my application. From their website, I know that they have an office in each state. Can anyone give any input as to which office gives a quicker response. I understand that some offices become overloaded with applications.

Hey Joiemike! Thanks for bothering to reply. I'm so happy to hear straight from one person who actually knew a lot about BP stuff. :) I know I may somehow sounded dumb abt that, just I really want it verified from people here because someone put me down last time, telling me I need to have a recent work experience to qualify. I wonder why there are people like her that exist? She's actually there in NSW now as an enrolled nurse via BP.
Anyway, I really appreciate your time for answering. At least now, I can start working on the papers while preparing for IELTS. God Bless me.
I'll keep on logging back in here to read on this forum to be more aware of helpful tips. Again, thank you so much!
