Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@joiemikeWow... I know of someone who got her eligibility email(?) from ahpra 3months since she sent her applic. I guess the processing time would really vary from person to person. I bet mine would take about a year
Anyway, what credit card did you use? I mean, from which bank? An uncle of mine in QLD would be paying for my registration fee but I have this friend from Cebu who's got no clue as to how he'd pay for his application.
By the way, are you in the Philippines right now?
wow.. three months is really fast.. congratulations to your friend dear :)
hello guys.... I just would like to know if there are bridging programs that i can just take in the Philippines. A friend of mine have told me that she studied through modular form of BP. she took modules 1-3 in the Phinlippines and had her module 4 which is the clinical placement in australia for a month... Now she's an RN in australia... I tried to ask her where she took the module in our counrty but i guess she was busy... so im asking you guys if you know anything about this?
Hi guys!
I just got another email from AHPRA a few days ago stating that a preliminary assessment of my application has been started already. The next stage will happen in the next 8 weeks. To those who are waiting for their letter, what did you received next after that email? I'm getting really excited everytime I received updates from them. Thanks!

Hi, got the same letter last month. Among the things said in the letter was that they seemed to have not received my PRC Cert of Good Standing. So, I sent another one asap. I called a week later to confirm if they received the PRC document and they confirmed it. At the same time, they gave me the name of my case officer. You can call ahpra for an update every now and then.
Tried calling them to change my mailing address to my niece who is now an RN in Melbourne. That way, the letter can be received sooner. Although they agreed to my request, they still made me write a formal letter and mail it to them.
hi, i actually have an agency who helps me process my application. with the certification, they asked me to have each page notarized with the address and phone number of the notary public. the notary should not cover the text of your document (if your diploma is printed in a letter-sized paper, have it photocopied in a legal-sized paper, and ask the notary public to use the space for their infos). again, make sure that everything you photocopied, is certified or notarized per page.they also asked me of the breakdown of the hours of my clinical practice - which is your rle transcript; theoretical components in hours - my agency asked to provide a course description and attached it to my transcript.
hope that would help.
thanks for the info! but that's what i did actually. i had every page notarized by a public lawyer and on the last page, she placed all the needed details about her. i'm really wondering what went wrong. i tried to dial the number ahpra gave me, 1300 419 495, [color=#7e7f7e]but i can't contact through. is any body here has a contact number of ahpra brisbane?[color=#7e7f7e]

This is the ahpra # I always call 0061736664911. It only takes them a few minutes to answer the call unlike the one published in the website. . This is a nationwide number regardless of which state you lodged your application. The operator will just ask for your personal details and which state you submitted your application. They will, then, patch you through that particular office. I just warn you that every time you call, they seem to give a different answer to your question.

I hope they got my Certificate of Stnding sent by PRC. Huhu. It is such an hassle going back to Cebu requesting for another one plus the money to pay for it. Seems like AHPRA always don't get the Certificate from their applicants. I just hope this is just a misconception though.
