Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

ayanami and cindy b...sorry for the late reply. yup, im still about to start with my (requirements for) registration. im from Davao. where you two from? if possible, i hope to find classmates or workmates in this forum.. :) i think it will be more convenient especially for our studies.can i send my application to AHPRA before taking IELTS? did you 2 send your docs already? i still need to take IELTS, planning to take it on May 19 but i wish i could start on it and send it already.
cioman, ur ryt hehe. i'l repost it :)
Hi!
Just saw your post..
I'm still on the requirements. And earning the $450 registration fee.lol
I think you have to take the IELTS first before registering since its one of the basic requirements.
Then you have to get 7 in all areas. So you'll have to finish the IELTS first.
I'm from Baguio. Heard from my aunt that there are others from Davao who recently went there for
the bridging program. :)

protestants? birth control? :rotfl::rotfl:
congratulations mooh mooh. It's so heartening for you to share your success story. If there's a will there is indeed a way. Despite the naysayers, those of us who believe will definitely achieve ( pardon the cheeziness hahaha).I am looking forward to achieving my goal too. And despite the hardships and the frustrations, I will definitely get there.
Here's a toast to all of us who believe!!!
Oh, I totally agree with you.
Believing indeed gets us to where we want to go. :redpinkhe
It says " you are ineligible for registration and as such your application is being returned unprocessed. Under the national law you will be required to complete a board accredited program of study as an overseas trained nurse before you can apply for registration. Once you have completed one of the listed accredited courses you may then apply to the board for general registration."I am concerned why they returned my documents and they did not charge me of anything. For those who received their letters, did ahpra returned your papers as well? I'm very worried as to what will I do. I am actually contemplating now to submit my application to a different ahpra office.
this is a bit weird or an exception.. it is hard to analyze.. im at a lost too... i can only ask clarifactory queries..
- did you send all the required documents?? as in all of them?
- what do they refer as "accredited program of study"?? can anyone here answer this question, does it refers to BP??
im very glad i joined this forum..i feel more like im in d right track on this decision i made bcos of ppl's testimonials here.joiemike:

you have a point about why we shouldn't consider Philippines as a 3rd world country and the concentration of power in the Philippines among the few. ppl here eat squares meals, many are literate and many can do what they want to do in and out of the country.
but economics is not run by the people but the people in power, notable example of Marxism Ideologies. through history this pattern never change, no wonder some of us come to this thread to go to Australia (etc) to make a future. it is just good that ppl here are very resourceful and adapt very quickly to the situation, and many (but not all) can reach a solution.

- just a thought...
sounds like they're asking for proof if you finished a bachelor's degree? (this is for nursing, right?)
maybe it has something to do with the transcript or something.
but i'm not sure..just the way i understand it.. xx

maybe this is where she has to enroll for another program or qualifies as an enrolled nurse instead?
Hello Everyone!
I'm new here and I hope you could help me on how to apply as a nurse in Australia. Is there a new pathway that i could take that is cheaper and faster? i heard there was an agency that came here in Cagayan de Oro that invited nurses to become eligible in Australia by taking a 3 weeks course here in the Phil. and 3 weeks in Australia. They offer a very enticing opportunity since it does not require the applicants to have an experience, board and lodging in Australia is free and that the Australian government is also assisting in their application. I don't know if this is reliable since it's too good to be true...hehehe...I just found out about it thru a friend...i hope you guyz can shed some light about this...thanks

I guess the cheapest way to go to Oz as a nurse is to do the bridging program.
If you have work experience 1 year in the past 2 years then you can do the immigrant application.
Your choice actually.
But I guess the bridging program is more recommended. xxx
Last time I checked bridging courses are only done in Australia for 8-12 weeks.
So you'll have to research more on that agency.
