New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

ya. that experience thing does cause a problem... do you know if there's a difference between a bridging program and a pre-registration program? Thanks cioman94, you've been very helpful :)

we are sure of the meaning of "bridging program"... about "pre-registration program", it depends on how the Uni defines it, so ask/check the uni's website what they mean, but normally it means that, you enrol in that program and after finishing it you are then eligible for nursing registration with AHPRA, thus become an RN.. however, normally such program is a lot longer than the bridging program, say 6-12 mos. as compared to 3 mos..

REally?!?! oh no! i used the PO Box address for everything even if it was sent through DHL! You think they'll receive it? :(

as joimike said, DHL will not accept your package if you wrote PO BOX, unless the DHL staff has dementia then that's it..

hi everyone!

can you use your eligibility to every state? for instance, can you use your eligibility in SA in a BP provider in say WA or NT?

Just wondering coz im planning to lodge my application to SA but im afraid i might not get a BP slot on SA.

or maybe i should just lodge it to Darwin?, hmm i actually trying to look for a faster processing route as my IELTS will be expiring soon. :(

yes, use anywhere..

darwin? they said, your application will then be forwarded to NSW, as per the experience of one of the thread members here..

I was able to secure an original of my Certificate of Good Standing, can i just certify a copy of this and send it together with my other requirements? or should it come from PRC?

I submitted my application to Victoria. As for your PRC document, it has to come from PRC. Should be original. ;)

Filed my Visa March 18, just got it today (I'm in Mindanao) 456 Multiple Entry! Oz here I come~

Goodluck to all of you here :)

I wonder if you are not mistaken. DHL, UPS, FED EX do not accept PO Box as addresses of recepients. They need a building or office address. That way, somebody will sign the receipt of the package or document.

They did accept it:( the one at prc said they didnt at first but i told them that's where im supposed to send the documents and they accepted it. They did ask to leave a contact number though. British council also accepted the PO box address since they'll be sending my IELTS results.

:yeah:Congrats miks103.Im a newbie here and like yourself i am a second courser.I just want to ask ,aside from TOR did you send a copy of course description ? I am bit apprehensive that they would scrutinize the papers/documents of those second course graduate. thanks.

Sent mine last Dec.

Tried calling ahpra earlier today to inquire about the status of my application. They said they haven't received my certificate of good standing from prc. I sent it last Dec. simultaneous with the other docs. No sense in arguing with them. I just went back to prc today to get another copy. Will get it wednesday next week. Will just send it thru Fed Ex or DHL. It's better this way than arguing with ahpra that prc has sent it already. At the end of the day, it will only delay further the processing of my application if I'm not going to send them another copy.

Unbelievable!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:
