Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

now this is weird.. since i got that email i shared here in the forum, i have not emailed AHPRA anymore. just now, i received an email from someone in nsw saying that the case officer handling my application has left, hence i havent received any updates since dec. (since that was the last date I indicated when I emailed AHPRA NSW). So now she will be my new case officer and she will have to review my application as there has been no action on it yet. WHom should i believe now? hmmm...
Well, I would consider that a good news since your case will be assessed anew. It's better than a negative assessment, right? Think positive!!1:yeah:
Why do you have to exit? Is it a better option to extend your tourist visa in Australia? Just wondering.
it's possible to stay in oz for more than 3 months using the tourist visa. but there's a risk of being denied entry into oz when using the tourist visa for the bridging program. i just hope i can renew my tourist visa in oz so i won't have to go back to the philippines...
thanks...
possible, yes it is possible....... for complete information on PR, please read DIAC website.... complete requirements are written there.... any clarifications you need after reading DIAC, you may shoot your questions here then.. would be glad to help you after you read the DIAC website..yes definitely, it is okay for anyone to apply for work while waiting for registration.. your application will be acknowledge as being received... but please do not expect to be interviewed or hired..
peace!
^ this is funny cerid im excited for you...
hello peeps! i just finished reading your posts and so far i really learned a lot.
oh my i feel that im so behind, im actually an old forumer/lurker circa 2008 when i was still unemployed, i forgot na my username!
anyway, as what i have said i am so behind i havent even taken the ielts yet! still have some issues to iron out..
good luck to all of us.. and keep those posts coming!
To apply for pr while in Australia, one must have present in the country 2years legally that means working by having sponsor, if wanting to apply outside you canapply but need to leave for visa when finally given, for it to active. If applying as skilled I immigrant then you must pass points system and this now is more difficult without experience. There is of course the family sponsorship which is I was told yesterday is quick and easy to do......mmmmmmm
