New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

thank you

@ceridwenRN, what type of visa did you get? how much show money did you prepare?

@bellair, oh yes 456 :) I read the 676 may grant up to 12 months of stay in Aus?

Any more ideas? Thanks in advance :)

Please read the following links because I think this could better explain the difference between the 2 visas.

hello guys! i'm a newbie but been lurking for almost a year & i can say that this thread really helped me during my completion of requirements for ahpra. i submitted my documents last nov.2010 and got an email from them last jan.18 confirming that they have received my papers and they are starting to assess it...so the waiting time began...i am hoping that i'll receive my eligibility sometime in march (fingers crossed!)

i already have the 676 visa. are you going to The College of Nursing too? 300-500k pesos show money is enough for the 456 visa.

I plan to apply for the 676 one... you think I should get the 456 instead? Yes I'm going to the CoN but will take the September intake.

i can't answer your queries regarding visa matters but in my case i already have 676 but i will try to get 456 as well. i'm uncertain if 676 visa and 456 will let you stay for six months straight. if yes then that's more time to find work. i can't get the student visa since they are not cricos registered. i'll try if IDP can help me with how to get the visa and pay tuition fee. i'm having problems with my vaccines, can you help me?

What's your problem with the vaccines? You can't complete them in time? I also am not sure how I can help because I haven't also started on my vaccines yet. Now that you've mentioned that I think I should start mine also :)

hello everyone. i am a newbie here. im glad to have this thread as a guide for my dreams in applying for aus. i already downloaded the application form--agos 4 that is(im right, right..? hehe) and im looking forward to secure the different docus necessary from it.

hey forumers, can i ask for some help? regarding question number 6. i couldnt quite grasp what they are really asking from me. i mean, technically my residential address is not the same as my principal place of employment in asutralia. which means if i answer NO, i should provide the address of the hospital where i work here in the Philippines?

also, in question number 16, are they asking for my diploma and transcript of records from high school aside from the transcript from my college?

and how much will the application cost me?

please help me enlighten with this. thank you so much in advance for your help and guidance! :)
