New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, please help me.

I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.

Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.

That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.

However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.

I already have my bachelors degree here.

When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?

After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?

Thank you!

hi. i have a check list of the requirements needed for QNC application. on the last part, I saw this...

Enquiries from other people about your application on your behalf

For privacy reasons the QNC is unable to discuss any aspect of your application with any other person unless you complete a statutory declaration and send it to QNC. A statutory declaration is a written statement of facts which the person making the declaration (this person is normally called the declarant) signs and declares to be

true. Statutory declarations must be signed in the presence of a qualified witness. In Queensland, a qualified witness is a justice of the peace, commissioner for declarations, notary public, barrister, solicitor, conveyancer or other person authorised by law to administer an oath.

The declaration must state the name and contact details of the individual you are authorising to act on your

behalf.

can someone tell me what this is? thanks thanks thanks!!!

if you want someone or allow someone to inquire or follow up on your behalf (example: your agency or agent, or relative or authorized representative), you must submit a "statutory declaration" or in the Philippines it is commonly called as SPA or Affidavit whereby you authorize certain persons to act or do something in your behalf.

as i understand, you are filing QNC application on your own, thus, you dont need this stuff. Those applicants who applied through an agency are the ones who execute the said document..

Sure thing. :) I sent you a PM since you cannot PM me yet. You need at least 15 posts to use this function.

As far as I know you need to provide the NBI clearance for International purposes (correct me if I'm wrong). :)

He can sponsor you for a visit visa or for a skilled visa. He cannot sponsor you for a student visa, however, he can be your sponsor for the financial requirement for the said visa. Hope I didn't confuse you hehehe.

What exactly are you planning to do? Are you planning to study a pre-registration Nursing degree or the bridging program? Are you a BSN grad in the Philippines too? What exactly are you trying to achieve? :)

thanks! :) i'm just wondering, though, if i should send the original copy or if a certified true copy is ok?

Can be either I think. Certified copy should be good enough anyway. You can double check with them just to make sure.
