New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, please help me.

I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.

Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.

That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.

However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.

I already have my bachelors degree here.

When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?

After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?

Thank you!

775 AUD = almost 30k PHP!!! WOW it is very expensive compared to the IELTS....i'll research more on OET... thanks for the tip!

please do share to us the details.thank you!:)

Hi guys, can anyone share me a sample format of the "Verification of Registration and Certification of good professional standing"? PRC is asking me to provide them with the form. There is also no form downloadable in the NMBNSW site. Thanks:)

it's the certificate that can be obtained after about six months from the period of registration(as indicated in your license). It has the PRC seal and your picture on it.

Where and when do you plan to do it?

In curtin they don't require a letter of eligibility.

I don't know when or where yet coz' I just decided today. Curtin is so expensive even if I've heard a lot of positive comments, so I doubt I'll enroll there.
