Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
@Krueger why you say I am creepy? I search you and look what I found? Now tell me who is creepier me or you?
You tell others creepy. Look at yourself. Sorry maybe you are sooo great. :bowingpur good luck in your life.
Anyway, I think I know someone who can help you dolcevitarn. I ask him if he know I tell you where inexpensive place to stay.
narscathy why you siding with krueger? I don't like you anymore. You are bad also. What do you have against Indians? Good luck with your ielts. You may have creepy result. BYE!!!
@Lithotomy, Nothing's really happening yet with my application so no need for congratulations for now. Simply put, my documents are just sitting on their desk waiting to be assessed. No approval whatsoever. VOIP is Voice Over Internet Protocol (i.e. Skype), it's cheaper than using your mobile or land line so I suggest those who want speedy and more reliable information for cheaper rates to subscribe in Skype, buy load and call the institutions directly for your inquiries. That's what I've been doing. And yeah, you are a bit odd but I reckon you're just putting up a show :)
@Kreuger I get you there but then who are we to judge people in this forum. Maybe he (Lithotomy) is just trying to be friendly but yes he needs to tone down a bit.
@Lithotomy I want to say your funny but you might get it the wrong way, nonetheless you are really amusing. I'm sure NewMac meant no harm when he said your funny. It's actually good that your posts here lightens up the mood of the many who are anxiously waiting for their eligibility letters in anticipation to get in OZ Unis. Please just tone down a bit and let's focus more on the topic at hand. I'm sure you just want to be friendly and helpful at the same time in your quest to learn things for your Australian application and IELTS. You can come join us next time if we do have another meet up so you can meet some forum peeps. You will find many forumers pretty neat once you get to know them and you are very much welcome to ask from us and we will be very glad to assist you.
@narscathy You happen to have alienated your one true admirer. I think he simply saw a similarity between you two having gone to the same alma mater that's why he was keen on getting close to you. But I don't blame you if he is getting on your nerves.
@Wahine888 Yeah it was really fun. We went early so we could meet you but I'm sure you didn't mean to not make it. I'm sure it would've been more fun if you were there. Maybe next time...
@chocokat79 Any news with IDP and NSW earlier?
@Haoyin I know you set the time earlier for me that's why I am super sorry I didn't make it! I was really looking forward to the 'Cast of Cools' and I feel bad I stood you guys up. But if there's another schedule for EB, do invite me again please.
@Lithotomy I hope I didn't offend you when I said you're odd. But you are quite a character here who, like Haoyin put it, put a light tone in the nerve-wracking waiting game in this thread.
I just read this from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Website: http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/
"From 1 July 2010 practitioners of the Nursing and Midwifery professions across Australia will have to meet the same requirements to be registered and their registration will be recognised in all States and Territories. The Board was established under the Health Practitioner Regulation (administrative arrangements) Act, 2009. From 1 July 2010 the Board will operate with its full range of functions under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (the national law) where adopted in a jurisdiction."
I guess we need not to worry and just be happy about the upcoming changes

Sorry, sorry, sorry...I didn't notice it said PRACTITIONERS of the Nursing and Midwifery professions across Australia. Guess it applies to those who are already registered. I'm trying to find out if it also applies to those with pending registration applications like us! Will keep you guys updated
