Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
hey guys im really confused about the deadline this june 04, 2010.
I sent in my application last decemeber 2009 at QNC that is my ielts results and my requirements,
I emailed them that I still don't have my license yet so I cant process the verification and good moral certificate. they still told me to submit my requirements so they can assess it and send my lacking requirements as soon as i can get it. now, how can I apply for the bridging program when I haven't finished my application yet? is it still possible for me to take the bridging program?:) im really confused
hey, i told you before, bendigo is far from the civilization lol...but its a good regional city though...why dont you come over here in melbourne while waiting for the class to start...lets circulate around melbourne...
PS: Deakin's IRON program is CRICOS registered...
from girlfriend:
Chabeli's class started last January 4. We will be going to the city 2 weekends from now. The pinoys are trying to get work at the nursing home during weekends here. but it's a lovely city here in Bendigo--tempting to just live and work here hahahaha but if given the chance, we'd go to melbourne. The school is saying that their clinical placement is most likely part of recruitment already here because they are lacking staff in the hospital.
cool that Deakin's IRON is cricos registered then those who will enroll to it can also get a student visa...

ah yeah,,there is St.John of God Hospital in Bendigo..so do your best for you to get the job...or better talk to them as early as now if they can possibly sponsor you after finishing the BP...
i have tried applying at St. John of God Hospital (not in Bendigo),,,and they strongly hire catholic/christian professionals..so that would be your advantage...
Question to those who applied to Victoria.
In the part where the date of commencement on the application when you first started school what did you write down?
My problem is that in my TOR it merely says Date of Commencement: First Semester 2004. I did not follow the format on the application which asked for the date, month and year. I merely just wrote down June 2004.
Just wondering if i anyone else did the same or did you write down the exact first day of school when you started?
Thanks

hopefully... "All things will work out good for those who love God" ...
it's hard for me to look for a job here in Bendigo (gf speaking)... all the jobs that are nursing is mostly in Melbourne. Ryan, my tita said also that the recruitment or nursing agencies can sponsor as well and that they pay higher rate.
So you had the same problem hehe? Where did you get the idea to get the first monday of that year and month? So writing June 2004 is was that a bad idea? Now i have another thing to worry about . Anybody else? Thanks NewMac for your input
backtracked on the calendar for that year and did the same thing...i used either first monday or second monday....

@ryan09 & chabeli .... me envy (guilty), i hope if i make it there il also meet someone who knows how to cook or at least knows how to follow online recipes.
@drednag i think others are saying three months bec their requirements are not complete or they experienced somethin like yours, but for "normal" cases -whatever that meant - only the BIG mailroom should be our big hindrance hahaha. Ill probably call them tonight to check my status and let's see whether ill get my letter this year!
