Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
uh-huh, i still don't know. the general manager just explained to me that they can actually help me, to check their site, how much it will cost me, if i have any relatives in victoria, passport status, etc. i was high in delight when he told me that they can help. i did not ask the schools/unis affiliated with them. but gee, u gave me another idea to call them.
ryan i will really go for it!!!! woohooo!!!!
hi ryan.... what is PMC? im planning to take BP in la trobe hopefully next year.. i know someone in australia & she said nurses Are needed there.. certifications ( IV training, BLS, etc) will help a lot in job hunting too... i have the idea on how to go about with the application but still clueless on whats next.. she said that 3 weeks before they end their BP, they started job hunting already.
For those applying to QNC through CAS, please take time to read the following link before you decide to enroll under CAS.
thanks for replying chabeli... im planning to have my bp in la trobe also, in june i hope.. did you do all the processing yourself or you had an agency? how long did it take you to get it all done? im sorry i have too many questions... im still at lost on what i should do next. thanks!
hi redtag, i don't have an agency. i processed evrything on my own.
my steps: (i started with step 1 in april 2009)
1. nbv application
2. ielts
3. retake ielts :)
4. got my nbv letter to do bridge
5. applied for schools (deakin closed out on me) so la trobe is my 2nd option
6. paid 9850 aud to enroll via credit card
7. nov. 6 lodged my application for student visa (note: la trobe students cannot get a business short stay because it is cricos registered so you have to get a student visa) --- for more convenience consider other irons that are not cricos registered especially if you are tight on timelines
8. dec 17 --got my approved visa
9. dec 18 -- bought ticket to melbourne :) flying via singapore on dec 29th.
be positive all the time!!
