Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
@cath hi cat i was wondering how long did NBV take to send your assessment..still waiting 2 months starting soon

ei ryan! just want to ask something because i read you are doing your bp in deakin. how long before you received your offer letter? cause i am planning to apply in deakin for the may intake.
hey @cath_26, i received my offer letter a week after the deadline of application...most of the institutions specially the universities will inform you if youre accepted or not a week or two after the deadline of application..:)
by the way, thank you for posting the master of nursing link...that was the master of nursing that i was referring previous pages ago...:)
@cath_26 and @waikiki, you can send PM by clicking the icon with paper and pen right below your username...or alternatively just click the username of the forumer that you wish to pm and then follow the prompts..
ah oki cause the deadline of the application for the may intake is january 25 2010 thats a long wait.. what if i dont get accepted..
hey, you have to have the letter from the NBV first as it is one of the pertinent requirements the institutions are asking..:) i havent heard anyone from here so far who is/was having a problem of not being accepted by an institution they have applied to do the BP...so just relax...
Thank you, Ryan09!I am hoping to send my application next week and I wish to receive a letter
as soon as possible so I can enrol in a bridging program in January. =D
I also have no experience and I read in this forum that it is okay to apply even if there is no experience. I hope everything will go smoothly.
But thank you for your reply! This forum helps alot!
hey, if im correct all of the January intake dates are full...
so better for you to check the next intake dates..

hi ryan, what do you mean with the "offer letter"?, is that the letter that tells you that you can proceed with the enrollment?i want to do BP in either NSW or NBV, but i really dont know what to choose i dont have any family in aus, just 5mos volunteer experience here
hello,
an offer letter is a correspondence sent to you by an institution you have applied to do the BP...its a letter stating that they have accepted your enrolment...:)
i dont know about other training providers, but mostly if a university wants you to do a course with them you will be sent an offer letter, a letter offering you to do the course in their institution..:)
its good that you a volunteer experience...me? i havent got an experience like you.

you are very much welcome...
thats a great step for you to do...and speak to them about the intake dates...they might still consider your application cos you dont know someone might cancel their enrolment and you can fill in the vacant position..) same case happened to my La trobe university application...

does that mean that the nursing board will be the one to assign you a school?, or would you be given a list of schools to choose from?

the latter question is correct...
you are the one who will choose an institution for you to do the BP...you can actually check the accredited/recommended schools and facilities at the NBV website www.nbv.org.au
