Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
I just applied online. It's easier that way. Then i got the letter of offer after 2 weeks I think. After that, I went to IDP Philippines to help me with my enrollment and student visa.. :)
ah i think i know this thingy,,,,ive known a filipino who went to IDP philippines to ask help about obtaining registration in victoria. and she was advised to submit her school credentials and they will do the rest...she was required to do a nursing course for a year in order for her to be eligible to apply for a registration...
@ryan So i see..so when will you be starting? this national registration ..is putting us in a hard position..since they themselves have no idea what will happen. I hope they dont leave us hanging in limbo..
im still waiting for the offer letter of deakin university..hopefully they will consider me...im planning to do the bp in january...
i know cos if the nbv can only answer me specifically, then i would do the bp in may or june...
I was actually accepted for their January intake, the thing is, they wanted me to pay and give the acceptance form asap, but from what the agency told me, I needed to process the pre-visa first before I can pay and all. So, now, without even telling me, they just closed the intake, even though I already accepted the offer online. Oh well, maybe La trobe's not really meant for me, but I really felt soo bad. Now, i dunno..:rotfl:
Thats unfair maybe you can email them and ask . You were technically accepted already. Just the payment. Was there a deadline for the payment ?
I soo agree. I was already processing everythin and all just to find out that they closed in on me. They could've at least informed me about it, if my agency didnt ask, we wouldnt have known. And no..they didnt give any deadline for the payment. :chuckle:crying2::rotfl:
Hi! I'm a newbie here.. Just want to share that I'll be attending the bridging program at Curtin this coming feb 2010. I noticed that only a few nurses are going the WA route.. I know It's kinda expensive and long but I think it's all worth it. I'm just waiting for my visa. I don't have any experience so It was quite a shock to me that i got accepted..Prayers do help a lot :) Well, hoping I could meet someone who is going to Curtin like me;)armiRN
Hi armiRN and fellow forumers,
Newbie here and I'm going to Curtin as well for the February 2010 intake. I'm waiting for my visa which was lodged a week ago thru IDP Cebu. Nice to see a prospective classmate here . When did you lodge your visa application?
