New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, please help me.

I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.

Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.

That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.

However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.

I already have my bachelors degree here.

When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?

After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?

Thank you!

i already read the maria's reply i just have to back read it to understand further.. thanks

further questions is to be followed.. jejejejje

ciao!!

I just sent my applications to both QNC and Victoria..and i know it used to be fast but i was wondering who was the last person in the forum to receive their assessment from both QNC and Victoria. Is the processing still 1 month or does it take longer nowadays ? Sent mine Oct 9, will should expect to hear from them? Which is faster QNC or VIC?

@Congrats Chabeli... Was La Trobe your only choice ??

Deakin University was my first choice but the applications for their january intake already closed before i could get my IELTS results... La Trobe University was still open so i applied with them.

to NURSEMAVI and to anyone who can help me...

GOOD DAY to each and everyone here.

Nurse mavi i would just like to ask how can i have my bridging course in either Royal Perth Hosp or in Hollywood hospital. I'm also a zero experience and currently here in WA specifically in albany its a 4hours drive from perth. and currently holding a secondary 457 visa (means the primary is my husband who works here in oz as a skilled worker) and it will run out this nov31 and i'm applying for a new visa which is an 857 visa. We already have our bridging visa and it will cease when the result of our new visa will be out.

I dont have an IELTS yet.

Pass the board last NOVEMBER 08.

Received my PRC ID july 09

Nil certificate of registration

can anyone help me and show me how i can do my bridging course and be registered as RN afterwards.

please help....

im looking forward to hear from any of you guys and gals.

thanks and God Bless us all

hello! gud day maria! I supposed you are already in australia. I will just like to ask about this post.Is it a fly now pay later in sawsee? have u taken out a penny from your pocket? as you have said that they lent u the money so meaning u did not pay for any thing. what im trying to say is " does it mean a salary deduction"?

just curious because it interest me to apply for it and so with my friends.

Sawsee is now CLOSED as it was shut down a couple months ago. They were raided by the NBI and the owner arrested for illegal recruitment. Just an FYI.

HI,

I am currently waiting for the assessment of nbv they sent me a letter asking for additional requirements. i have sent them the additional requirements that they need. will it take another 2 months before they respond?

HI,

I am currently waiting for the assessment of nbv they sent me a letter asking for additional requirements. i have sent them the additional requirements that they need. will it take another 2 months before they respond?

When did you send your application ? and what were the additional documents asked of you? I think for other states its another month or so.

i send it july 22 then i received a letter asking for some additional docs i was just wondering if it will take them 2 months again?

i initially submitted my docs last july 22 then i received a letter last sept 22 asking for a statutory declaration.. and i submitted it last sept 30 i was just wondering if it will take them another 2 months before sending response.

Could you provide your timeline, Date you sent it, date it was acknowledged, what documents was asked to be resent, date you sent the documents..did you dhl it or use regular mail..it depends but it really just used to be 30 days based on the information that i saw while i was backreading the thread..

ei,

july 22 submitted docs..

sept 22 received letter from nbv asking for statutory declaration.

sept 30 i personally submitted it to nbv

i just want to know how long would they send a response

Hmm..you personally went ? so that means you are in Victoria? Maybe it should be faster for you since you are there? I hope you dont mind if I ask why did they ask your for a statutory declaration? Did you not sign the form?

Anyways it would be best to email the board of Victoria. [email protected], they may answer you or they may not..but you might be looking at another month. Worse case scenario 3 months i guess.
